Tam - I will have a bunch of suggestions for the San Francisco area, maybe New York. Will you be in San Francisco specifically? Also, what is your price range? (I guess, what's your max/preferred range?) Kirala and Tacayuba are both awesome in the East Bay. I also love Ebisu (Japanese) in San Francisco, but I haven't been there in a while. Yelp is a great resource...I check reviews there all the time. Delfina for Italian is amazing. Chez Papa Resto is really good French. I actually don't know many Mexican restaurants there. If you are up for trying some Dim Sum, Yank Sing is wonderful...I can go on and on!

You can almost do no wrong in SF!

Hello!
New here but had to chime in about food as I am a huge foodie. 8^) To me I learn about a destination through its food. It is always a huge part of my travel.

I am near SF (15 minutes away) and for anything authentic Mexican you will not be disappointed with any place in the Mission district, specifically La Taqueria. For Japanese Blowfish is amazing but it is more of a seen/be seen place and quite pricey (but super delicious).

If you found yourself in the East Bay for any reason I would suggest Sushi House in Alameda or Kirala in Berkeley for Japanese and Tacubaya in Berkeley for the best Mexican food.

A link that may be helpful to you is listed below. Yelp is a GREAT resource for anything local...but especially food.

http://www.yelp.com

Enjoy your trip! Cheers! -K

There are a variety of fantastic Korean BBQ places in Toronto - basically google it and take your pick! This is one of my favorites types of food and everyone we take to these places loves it.

If you like steak (They also have everything else) Try "The House of Prime Rib "in San Fransisco. It isn't too far from the warf and they have been around like 50 yrs and are very well known!!

If you LOVE sea food and Italian try "Castignolas" in San Fransisco also. You can check both these menus out on the net I believe. !!
