Oh thanks, Tanya. The pants are the Rich and Skinny Casbah cropped pants. I know they are available on the RS website but the Nordstrom price was much nicer, especially considering the quality issues.

Oh, those are great news about he Rack going online! Hopefully you manage to find your pants again.

Patience, could you remind me what brand/type they were? There might be something similar available elsewhere.

Just want to say that I took my pants to Nordstrom and they very kindly took them back. I attempted to get them replaced, but even though they show availability online, the order my salesperson made for me was cancelled. Apparently, these pants have *just* been pulled for the Rack and so I can't get my hands on a pair unless I'm lucky enough to catch them at my Rack. Bummer.

Thanks for your responses.

My JBrand Houlihan's developed a large hole on the rear near the pocket. It was only a few months after buying them. Nordstrom's replaced them. The replacement had a seam mid thigh that was starting to split. Since the stock was so low, they repaired them.
I've also returned defective shoes and a very problematic watch with no box and no receipt. If you use a Nordstrom card it is easier for them to look it up. But I've also returned things that I bought with my debit card.

Absolutely I'm sure Nordies will try to help, especially if you have not worn them for very long. NAS was not that long ago, and most of us are only now starting to wear our NAS goodies.

I did see a young woman go to Nordies last spring with a pair of premium denim jeans that she had worn holes in the inner thighs (on both sides). She brought them in for a refund, saying they were defective. She had purchased them one year and 4 months earlier. It honestly looked to me like she had bought too small a size and her thighs had just rubbed holes in them or something. She was also a bit brusque in her request. The SA hesitated, saying she had purchased them quite a long time ago, and that she would have to discuss it with her manager. I don't know the outcome in that case. But I think Nordies does have some (reasonable) limits on returns/exchanges!

Yes, absolutely reasonable. If they are very new, I would be surprised if Nordstrom didn't offer to repair if not replace them. I have had them repair shoes that I've worn for a year for no charge when the sole started peeling away from the shoe!

From what I've read here on YLF about Nordstrom, I think that's definitely reasonable, Patience. And so sorry about the rip, I bet you look amazing in those pants!

I was wearing my silk crop pants I got at NAS today and the fabric ripped! Near a seam but not on the seam. They are definitely the right size, and I didn't rip them on anything. Is it reasonable to ask Nordstrom to replace them?
