If you return it in the store, it depends how the SA processes the transaction. Don't you love those notes? I use my nordstrom VISA for everything...gas, groceries, etc. and get at least one note a month. I just redeemed some for a cashmere burberry scarf and a nice Ellen Tracy coat. I recall having some weirdnesses when I returned an item paid partially with notes - I think I just lost the value of them entirely at the time and didn't realize it until later. Maybe it went back on my account as a credit and I was unaware. I think their system is not set up to replenish your notes (like Gap and BR were forced to do in a law suit) so they generally just refund the full amount (including notes)&nbsp;to your Nordstrom card if part of the purchase was on there. Interestingly, the boots that I returned in store had the entire purchase amount returned to my Nordstrom card as a statement credit, not as a new note. Maybe it was how the SA processed it, or maybe it was that it was only partially purchased with notes, I don't know. </p> <p>But I also returned a tee that was fully purchased with notes,this time by mail, and they sent the refund as a gift card via mail. Odd.
