M--my Rack had ALOT of trouve shrunken blazers in both the gray plaid and the camel in lots of sizes.....on clearance and substantially reduced in price.....

maybe if you call Nordstrom's they could track it down....the item number is #342909

And no, I don' t memorize the item numbers for every purchase, but I kept this one in my Nordstrom wishlist because I liked the styling options!

Una, thanks for linking to your WIW post! I thought that you had this jacket, too, but could not find the photos. It looks great on you with the snake print skirt, and I really like how you wore with a relatively low contrast top underneath.

Isis and Janet, you are right, the tiers of the striped top have a tendency to roll up and bunch up, at least when I first put it on. I think they can all be straightened out if the top is pulled down but I wanted to see how bad does the bunching look in the pictures. I guess I'll keep the tags on for now and think about it.

The sweater needs to go back for sure.

Kappy, good point about the bright colors - I usually try to wear bright colors and no black near my face. I think a black jacket will be OK since I can wear bright tops under it. I have a brownish-greyish tweedy jacket and the navy jacket with 3/4 sleeves - that's about it for non-casual jackets. So I think adding one black jacket is OK but I definitely need to remember not to accumulate a lot of black in my wardrobe.

Parsley, I am glad we can be jacket twins! It's pretty hard to find nice-looking jackets that are not overly formal so when I see jackets that look good on other YLFabers, I tend to try them, too. The same thing happened with the Loft jacket that I saw in Sarah's and modgirl's posts - it's one of my favorites. I still regret not buying the Trouve shrunken blazer during NAS.

Hi Makrame! I'm happy and flattered to be "tux jacket twins" !
It looks great on you! Now you're making me tempted to look at that striped top, too...
I think the jacket is perfectly appropriate for work, and you'll be amazed at how versatile it is. Enjoy!

Love the striped top!

Love the tuxedo jacket! Needs a little sleeve length adjustment though.

I love the tuxedo jacket and would definitely keep it. I actually like how it looks with the first sweater and also the pussybow blouse in the last picture. You do not look lumpy bumpy at all.

I like all three! You could try sizing down on the sweater to see if it's more fitted that way.

I like the striped top, but is it bunching or something up above the bustline? That style of shirt is popping up everywhere! I found one by Kenar in Marshall's in navy and coral and snapped it up. If this one isn't working for you, keep an eye out -- they're all cut a little differently from one another, so one brand might lie better than this one on your curves.

The sweater looks nice from what I can see, if it's layered over something. Unlayered, you may want to size down -- it depends on your comfort level. IIRC, those sweaters have an appealing price point for cashmere, but I read that they pill quickly, so I refrained, even though I could stand to replace one of my cashmere sweaters (I think it's 10 years old from JCrew and starting to show its age).

I bought that jacket too, but in the oyster color. I like it with the blouse! The sleeve length is fine on me, but the sleeves seem a little full, so I will be rolling/scrunching mine. I don't think it's inappropriate for work at all -- quite the opposite! I plan on wearing mine with casual pieces.

I love #1 on you. I love the color of the sweater but it just seems OK otherwise. The jacket looks great but the bunching in the back gives me pause. The only other comment would be about colors; you look so good in bright colors that I would think twice about adding more black to your wardrobe (only if you have a lot of black tops/jackets already).

I have the VC striped top too! I really like it, and I love it on you! It looks like it is bunching a little at the bust in your pic, but I think that can be remedied by adjusting the top layer down.....It is very flattering around the middle!

I also like the tux jacket. The wrinkles don't bother me in the back...but maybe an alteration specialist can tell you whether that can be remedied! It's a different cut than your other blazers, sort of more playful which will be fun!

Love the tuxedo jacket with the black and white top as shown in #4. I wouldn't hesitate about that one.

I like the two tops on you as well, but the striped top needs to stand on its own. With the tux jacket, there are so many lines going on, it's a little dizzying. Or, wear the striped top with a long and very simple blazer or sweater. The key is not to compete with the complexity of the top.

The blue sweater might be a little big. Also, have you tried it with a dark color cami underneath? It will give a more finished appearance.

I LOVE #1 on you and think it's really flattering. The tuxedo jacket I thought I didn't like at all when I saw the pic with the sweater, but then in pic 4 BAM it all fell into place and it's amazing!

I vote pass on the sweater... it's not awesome, and for cashmere prices, I think it should be awesome.

I wore the tuxedo jacket to work - I think it's just fine.

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....oe-pinions

Also, I scrunched the sleeves; you should try that and see if you like the look. Also try a sleeker top beneath the jacket, maybe?

I'm not sure of the VC shirt on you - it's not so much lumpy, but it seems to be giving you an odd shape somehow. Also, I didn't like the OM cashmere sweaters when I tried them - they were too form-fitting for me. I think it depends on your comfort level with that fit.

I have another round of keep or returns, hopefully the last one for a while. Thanks in advance for your thoughts - any and all opinions and criticisms are welcome!

1- shameless copycatting of Shannon (Vince Camuto striped t-shirt). Too lumpy-bumpy for an apple like me?

2 - Only Mine cashmere v-neck. Too baggy? Not sure if I should give up on v-neck sweaters because they make me look like a lumpy brick or size down and try it again.

3 - 4 - tuxedo jacket (Frenchi) that Parsley has. It looks great on her. I am not sure about the wrinkles in the back on me - I added a picture of a navy Frenchi jacket that I have - it is cut differently (flares out) and does not have the same fit issue. I like that it has long sleeves (too long, in fact - I will need to have them shortened). This could be a nice addition to the navy jacket that has 3/4 sleeves and is tricky to pair with long-sleeve tops. The downside: with the tuxedo styling, it is probably not quite appropriate for work?

Side note: while I find photos to be extremely useful in figuring out how things fit, it is interesting that the striped t looks a lot less "lumpy" in the photos than in the mirror while the sweater is just the opposite. Not sure which is more trustworthy.
