That should have been an easy fix.<br />I'm leery to have anything altered at my Nordies. (HOuston) One of my first premium denim purchases was the COH Avas. I told the alterations person that I wanted plenty of scrunch. They came back too short to even wear with flats. At that time I was too timid to go back. Everytime I see those jeans, I wish I had.&nbsp;(Coincidentally, they're going to resale today.)<br />More recently, I had the sleeves shortened on my Theory Lanai jacket. It took 3 times to get the sleeves the same length. Frustration!<br />I bought the Burberry peacoat at NAS and I still haven't taken it in to have the sleeves shortened. I need to have Nordies do it to be protected if they ruin it. However, I don't have confidence that it will be done properly. I love the coat and want it to work..I believe it's sold out so no replacing if ruined.<br />Sorry to turn this into a rant, but I hear your frustration. Nordies is so good in so many areas and I wish the alterations department was included in that.<br />As a solution, do you have a local tailor that could move the button for you? I wouldn't think it would cost more that $5..less than the toll back to Nordies. That color will be fabulous on you.</p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/nordstrom-alteration---not-great#post-1336828 Thu, 21 Aug 2014 13:42:36 +0000 Mo 1336828@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I got a blue drapey button front in Tampa Nordie's a few weeks back. &nbsp;Brought it back in to get the buttons on the cuffs&nbsp;moved in. &nbsp;The cuff was falling down over my hand. &nbsp;The lady suggested shortening the sleeves as well. &nbsp;Fine. &nbsp;<br />Shirt was mailed out when it was ready (we live an hour and a half away from the store). &nbsp;<br />The buttons are not at the same spot on both sleeves. &nbsp;One sleeve they are in, near the body, the other sleeve they face back behind me. &nbsp;Maybe 1/2 inch off from each other when compared. &nbsp;This cost the BF $20 on his card/account. &nbsp;I'm not sure what to do. &nbsp;Do I ask it be fixed again? &nbsp;They did explain that they no longer do outside alterations in case an item is ruined, they cannot replace it with stock. &nbsp;This leads me to believe this can be replaced with the available stock. &nbsp;What would you do? &nbsp;Not sweat the small stuff, or demand you get what you paid for? &nbsp;Haven't mentioned it to the BF yet until I decide. &nbsp; </p>
