We don't have Nordy yet! When I lived in Seattle (many moons ago) I loved and had access to the main Nordstrom downtown plus the brassrail and the rack. I miss them! I have only ordered from them online once but it was a good experience.

I would say it's different than online. Usually I can't find the stuff I've seen online in the store, and vice versa. But I always like shopping there. It really depends on where you are, as others have said. If you are going somewhere that has a large outlet mall, that can be great shopping.

I find the store gets more interesting different brands than online. Of course it probably helps that I live a stone's throw from the flagship. Agreed not all stores are the same. For example in the Seattle area, Northgate gets very little, while the downtown and Bellevue are good. I find Southcenter a bit pedestrian. But my favorite departments are the more fashion forward of Savvy and Via C.

Really, kiwi? In my experience, most brick-and-mortar stores have a lot less inventory than their online versions.

To me, it all depends on where you're going to be, jayne, to know what your options are.

It depends on the store, the one at my mall has very little of what I see online. I do however stalk my Nordstrom Rack several times a week (more of a selection and of course I"m a bargain shopper) Both have excellent customer service. It might depend on where you'll be as to which are the best stores in that area. My mall is small and the stores have a lot less of the cool items, but the big mall (and DC) have great versions of all the big stores.

Its better. There is so much more in store than online. The customer service at Nordstroms is great as well.

You can check out Macy's as well. Check out the links that Angie posts for her shopping guides and all of those stores are great. Any major mall will have all of those stores. Happy shopping!

I notice alot of you are putting out links to Nordstroms and I am trying to find a place to shop when coming to the states for vacation that is going to give me the good choices. Is Nordstroms as good IRL as online? Do you all recommend that or any others that I should look out for when trying to focus my shopping time?
