I agree that they are more avant garde or edgy and not trendy in a way that will date quickly. Chunky loafers seem still very much in style, to me, and they've been around for lots of seasons. The sole on these gives them a more cosmopolitan vibe than the utilitarian lug sole that is more common. In that way, they strike me as a chunky loafer that is very much up your alley style-wise. I do think they will work well into fall, with the dark sole. <br /></div><div>I think they will work well with lots of jeans. The lime color just reaches out past all the rest and is great for you. </p> <p>I got some lug-soled shoes this past winter and have been happy with them. I tossed them in with a different order on a whim, thought they were crazy town but I might as well try. They turned out to be the only keepers. Once I put them on, I was surprised how the lug sole didn’t seem nearly so big or obtrusive. It’s the same with yours. They are great classic loafers with the black sole that’s been around for a couple years. When I saw the shoe off your foot in the finds, I did a double-take, because that picture is taken at an angle that kind of highlights the sole. </p> <p>As for them being “dated” in a year or two—do you mean according to what people are wearing or according to what’s being shown? Given how many have been bought, they can’t all disappear within the next year, but who know what stores will be trying to sell. There were a couple of things i was specifically looking for, and then just a couple of vague ideas about what i might want/need as WFH transitions to 3 days in office…<br />What i was looking for..white closed toe shoes…looking for something that works without a pedicure, hoped for something that would work from May-September…ordered both of these finds…the Frye pair were to large…the Ganni are slighly outside of my comfort zone, so looking for some feedback…i like my footwear to last for years, do you think these are too trendy and will look dated/of a time next summer or the summer after next? Are they too heavy looking for high summer? &nbsp;Do you actually think i could wear these in Oct and Nov?</p> <p>The sweater will replace another cashmere striped sweater that do to pilling will be down graded to weekends/WFH only….this sweater just speaks to me…brighter and in colors that aren’t in my usual palette but i was looking at this sweater for 3 weeks, and when it sold out in my size was bummed, but then it popped back and i hit buy now ASAP… </p> <p>Thanks for looking, as always all thoughts and suggestions &nbsp;are welcome and appreciated&nbsp;</p>
