Yay, you found interesting denim! I'm really intrigued to see these styled up.

ETA: it's interesting that even the raw denim has elastane these days. How does the fabric feel? Is it still stiff and denimy, or stretchy? I'm intrigued because I don't like the current trend toward super stretchy denim but find that most 100% cotton pairs aren't cut for my shape so they pinch.

Oh excellent! I'm glad you found some great jeans. Would love to see them on you.

I'm not too encouraged by any new denim finds for myself, and I realized yesterday (after trying on my jeans from last winter) that I'm not doing myself any favors by shopping for pants/jeans when my weight is up. I may just wait it out a while and see if I can get rid of some of my extra fluff before making a more serious attempt.

I was looking at a pair of Dre jeans that came in a raw Japanese denim. Didn't order because I had no idea what size to get. Yours look really cool.

I really like both of these designers. I have an Apiece Apart cropped burgundy top that I love in concept but don't know if it loves me back due to its color.

I've been eyeing 6397 jeans for the longest time but haven't tried any yet. The designs are independent and thus forward looking.

So the weather is turning for the cooler tomorrow here, with some desperately needed rain.
Like many here I'm tired of the distressed boyfriends. I wanted something different than the high waisted skinnies that I already own. I stopped in a local boutique. I wanted stiff or raw and cropped denim.
I would consider these sideways premium denim. Both pairs were made in the USA.
Right now I'm probably a 10-12, closer to twelve; used to be an 8 in pants.
The first is by 6397, find below. I had no idea that they were supposed to fit like these pictures. I asked for a 30 or 31 (which is probably very optimistic at my current weight). I tried a 29 and a 28, with the shop assistant we decided on the 28. It fit like a long rise cropped straight leg, which is the fit I was looking for. I was reminded of Angie sizing down on the jeans from NAS.
The second pair is by Apiece Apart. It's a stiff blue-black with a smidge of white fabric. I got an 8, very surprising.
I felt they were different enough I got both, plus given that they were small designers it would be hard to find.
https://www.apieceapart.com/sh.....panese-raw
I also tried some Rachel Comey high waisted jeans in an 8, absolutely a no go. I think it was the legion style.
