I found yesterday that when I was pushing, most of the time the bracelets would just hit each other, with a sort of light jingle, but occasionally one would hit the pushrim, with a very loud clang. So I moderated my pushing, much the way you might change the way you walk when wearing certain kind of shoes. I gave myself points for not making the clanging sound - that was an interesting bracelet side effect.

Today I'm wearing a cuff made of some sort of plastic and it makes no noise.

I personally love certain noises, like the clack of heels orthe jingle that comes from metallic pieces. Oddly enough, I'm not so enamoured with the clicking sounds made when plastic beads hit each other.
I got out of the habit of wearing bracelets and rings when I was pursuing piano very seriously. There are few things more obnoxious than the clack of a ring on the black keys during an intense, pianissimo moment.

Oh, the watch comes off all the time, too.

I work for Ball Aerospace as a software engineer. The job can be very interactive when working on a larger project, but for the last year or so I've been doing small things pretty much by myself, which is a challenge for an extrovert like me.

Katja, I know what you mean about the typing thing. Sometimes even my watch feels like it's in the way (it hits the edge of the keyboard) and I take it off. But I just remind myself that you have to suffer for beauty.

I love the clink of jewelry.

I have a "mommy" necklace with two silver discs that sometimes jingles. Late on Christmas eve 2008, I was wearing that necklace while . . . um . . . tracking Santa's progress on NORAD across the US, while everyone else was fast asleep. Yeah, that's what I was doing. It was really late ~ around midnight ~ when I headed up the stairs to bed. I was moving quickly, and then . . . I heard it! A jingling ~ rather faint, but still clear as a bell. In my sleepy, Santa-focused state, I honest to goodness thought, "SANTA!! Santa is arriving on his sleigh!!!!" It took me a minute to realize that it was MY NECKLACE. Hello, someone was up waaay past their bedtime.

Katja, I love hammered metal, so those bracelets are beyond fab in my opinion!

I think it's fine as long as it is in a situation where these type of noises do not impact on other people trying to work in a quiet and focused environment.

One of my jobs requires me to run an extremely high pressure test for candidates as part of either an immigration application or for access to higher education (amongst other things). Trust me when I say that the rattling and jingling and banging on the desk of jewellry can be extremely irritating to other candidates and they can get quite upset to have this sort of distraction.

That said, in the rest of my everyday life, the more noise, the better I say!!

Your bracelets are beautiful! I think it's kind of fun to jingle. I guess the only thing would be if it were distracting to others in your office or at meetings.
