I was definitely happier in the second half of the month, than trying to wear my orphans.  But some of that has to do with a marathon shopping trip on the 12th, so I had lots of new-to-me things to wear that fit in my "favorites" criteria. I'm not bored yet with the reds, blues, white/gray/black color scheme.   Nor am I with limiting my patterns to stripes and plaid.  I think all of these things are really "me".    I don't have much variety in my favorite silhouettes - the width and fluidness of my pant legs vary - and that's about it.  I think I can stick with the fluid top and narrow (sometimes fluid) bottom for the winter quite easily. I don't wear many jackets.  Which is kind of a shame, because I have LOTS of them.  Maybe they should start visiting the style exchange. My wardrobe holes are filled, I think.  I'm pining for a pair of burgundy skinnies, but they're not a need.  And I'd like a black long-sleeved layering tee with a scoop neck (rather than a crew neck).  Otherwise, even my "desires" list is really really short.  I have no reason to shop (which means more time to make Christmas gifts!  :) ) Suz on "No-Repeat November wrap-up (lots of pics)" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/no-repeat-november-wrap-up-lots-of-pics#post-1102713 Mon, 02 Dec 2013 14:19:49 +0000 Suz 1102713@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ It's interesting what discoveries we make over the course of an entire month, isn't it? Did you feel any frustration with your outfits or notice any wardrobe holes over the month? And how was looking at the photos as a group? I found it both interesting and instructive. I'm sort of bored by a string of my own outfits, but more in looking at them all at once than in wearing them, I think.  For me, 15, 17, and 19 are the standout outfits here. They have tomboyish fun integrity as well as great fit. And of course I love 16, too, for the sweet homage! (Plus it looks great on you!)  amiable on "No-Repeat November wrap-up (lots of pics)" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/no-repeat-november-wrap-up-lots-of-pics#post-1102708 Mon, 02 Dec 2013 14:09:06 +0000 amiable 1102708@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ As others have been doing, I thought I'd do a wrap-up of No-Repeat November.  I spent the first two weeks trying to weed out orphans.  Then I had a change of heart, tossed the orphans, and decided to wear all favorites.   To take stock of my favorites, I used pinterest and realized that I prefer reds and blues for colors - just about every shade of those two (including purple and teal).  And Black, gray and white for neutrals.  For patterns, I like things with straight lines (stripes or plaids).  So I went through my closet and moved everything that didn't fit that (rather narrow, I thought) criteria into my probation bin. (My camo jeans are an exception to this criteria.  They're too fun for probation still). I still have LOTS of clothes.  And I like the colors I kept so much (though I think I'll add back in a dash of orange, and maybe a green or two here or there) - I really think this has good potential to become a permanent (maybe seasonal though, not sure) color palette.   So here's the month.   Purged are tops from  #5, #6, #9 In "probation" are tops from  #1, #7, #18, the jeans in #6 Tops I repeated are:  cardi in #1 and #14                                    burgundy sweater in #10 and #27                                   black sweater in #12, #19 and #28                                   white layering tee in #8, #24, and  #25 A "purchases for 2013 f/w" post should be coming in the next few days - most of the new things are pictured here :)
