I like these sandals. They look great with skinnies and I am sure they look good with shorts, clams, dresses, etc. as well.

Oh Angie, I don't mean to overanalyze. I was just curious. It's interesting to me to see how one's body changes, and how the clothes change to follow suit. As I said in another thread, I'm pretty much over body type rules. I know what works and what doesn't without having to think about that.

I'll give you some wiggle room: I actually liked the skinnies with the wedge heels I found today (see other post on shoe shopping). I liked them a lot, actually.

Maya, it really doesn’t matter what body type you “sort of” fit into. Over analyzing the situation can be dangerous and you know how I feel about boxing people into rigid categories. What matters is that you are at peace with your lovely, LOVELY body and know what looks best – and that includes bending body type guidelines. It certainly looks like you’ve slimmed down and evened out, not that you didn’t look terrific to begin with.

What I want to hit home more than anything is the fact that you look so good in skinny jeans! I know that we have been having this debate together for years, but I want you to know that my opinion has not changed. And I am not the only person on this forum who thinks you rock skinnnies! I hope that you will come around to the idea. Even if it’s just for me :0)

You know Maya, I did not think you were an apple before, and I still do not think so. I think that you are a classic short-waisted hourglass. You do not need to worry about your basically non-existant tummy.

I think that the skinnies look great with those sandals, and also, that you can wear them with shorter tops without any worries.

Today while I was getting dressed, I put on my skinnies and a cami (to be topped with a sweet pea tunic). Usually I avoid looking in the mirror until I have the tunic on because all this tight clothing emphasizes all the wrong things, but today I was surprised to see...well, nothing. I have been feeling that in how I dress lately too. I have been focused a lot less on constantly trying to cover my tummy. I still don't have a waist (at least from the front) and it's hardly flat but it isn't as much of a battle as it was just a few months ago. It might also be because my hips have grown a bit (36 to 37 inches) which makes everything more in proportion.

The weird thing is I haven't really done much for it to change, so I'm not sure if I'm delusional.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....2029-1.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....G_2030.jpg

Also, I'm wearing the only shoes I can wear right now (since they do not touch my wound). Do they look terrible with skinnies? I'm not usually a fan of these sandals but I wear them whenever my feet just don't want anything touching them.
