Even though this isn't my typical style it really does embody my overall philosophy of having fun with my wardrobe and using it as a form of&nbsp;creative expression. </p> <p>One of the&nbsp;(rather young) members of my team at work recently described me as "an eccentric dresser" then followed that up by saying he meant it as&nbsp;a compliment and that it&nbsp;meant that you could really tell a lot about my personality from my wardrobe. It's yesterday's crazy Valentine's day outfit. I'm not really a fan of Valentine's day as a holiday&nbsp;because of the commercialization of it (I believe we should do thoughtful things for the one's we love&nbsp;all year long instead of make it a holiday that makes single folks feel bad about themselves or makes one feel obligated to do something nice).</p> <p>That said, I do love an excuse to pull together some of the crazier pieces in my wardrobe that might not be daily wear workhorses. I thought this outfit was sassy-cute without going too far into the realm of cutesy for someone my age.&nbsp;</p> <p>I wore it into the office for a meeting with my company's&nbsp;CEO. To say we have a casual work environment would be an understatement of mass proportions. Just about anything I wear to the office would probably be considered&nbsp;"overdressed" by company&nbsp;standards (I work with mostly twenty-something gamers who keep saying&nbsp;I'm the most fashion forward and best dressed employee in the org. Which cracks me up because most days I'm wearing jeans and a motorcycle jacket and I'm still considered "dressed up").</p> <p>Anyhow, I was only in the office for the hour meeting then grabbed lunch with my boyfriend.&nbsp;</p> <p>I originally thought I'd go with slim black jeans with it but decided I preferred the more casual, slouchy&nbsp;juxtaposition of the beat up Levi's boyfriend jeans with the more polished remainder of the outfit.</p> <p>Might have been too much --this&nbsp;isn't my typical style, and normally the jacket and scarf are definitely two pieces I wouldn't put together,&nbsp;but I have to admit wearing the bold heart print Moschino&nbsp;jacket combined&nbsp;with the bright blue and red&nbsp;McQueen Lips scarf did sort of put an extra&nbsp;spring in my step and make me want to smile more than usual.</p> <p>What do you guys think? Too cutesy for a woman "of a certain age"? It made me feel good and that's my biggest criteria for whatever I wear. </p>
