It has a sliding padded piece meant to cushion the shoulder but it keeps folding and moving and is ridiculous . I really love it and it will work nicely with nearly all of my outerwear, and even pattern-mix with today's daisy dress for running errands. It's like having a whole new bag for a fraction of the $$! </p>
