I mean the brown boots, Nicole.

I like the look of Winter skirts when they are longer and over the knee. But slightly shorter skirts work as well.

I actually don't have much in my closet for winter skirts...yet. I used to avoid skirts in the winter. I did just recently pick up a straight dark denim skirt, that I need to take photos of and post. I am waiting for a sweater knit skirt that I ordered from Gap to arrive. That one may be hit or miss. How long should these "winter" skirts be?

So, Angie, your last comment about slouchy boots with skirts--do you mean the brown ones or the black Soffts?

(Ha Nicole and Julijuli!)

Sofft boots are fab! The chestnut boots are AMAZING! I adore the colour. Have you got longer Winter skirts you can wear with these boots too?

So, you can wear slouchy boots with skirts. Pic please.

I think the Sofft boots look nice with the skirt...you can definitely wear them that way. I agree with Becky that the brown boots would be way to loose to wear with skirts unless you can really tighten them with that buckle. Sorry to hear about the BCBG boots...I have similar issues and it's hard to find a boot I like that will fit my calves.

I don't know why your boots appear to be different lengths. Have you checked the boots themselves to be sure they're actually the same height? It's only the tan boots, right? Do they fit you differently (since you said one calf was harder to fit than the other)?

Nicole, the black Sofft boots look perfect on you and they will be great with skirts. And, yes, I think you're on the right track with the thought that the brown would be too loose to wear with skirts; they'd be for wear over skinnies/leggings only. I'm not sure what to think about the difference in the way they fall on your legs -- is one leg longer than the other?

Your title reminds me of a funny thing that happened when i was looking at a house with my realtor - i had some really cute pointy toe boots on and when he sent my hubby an email later with the details on the house he said 'tell JuliJuli I liked her boots.' Well, DH read it without his glasses on and thought it said boobs! He was all ready to call him up and give him a piece of his mind. Funny.

Tanya, remember I told you the cognac boots had a functioning buckle on the side? If I were tighten the buckle and make the boot fit my calf, could I wear these boots with pants and skirts?

He he Nicole, what a cheeky title :)

I agree with everything you said. The BCBG boots are pretty, but do not look comfortable around your left calf. The Sofft ones look great, and I think they are good for skirts, they seem to fit you calf very well.

The cognac pair looks great with jeans, I'd keep ,them they are so beautiful. Yep, I think you are correct, they are probably going to be too loose for skirts. But what's stopping you from trying that and posting a photo

OK....the BCBGirl boots are beautiful...but the left boot is too tight around my calf. So, unfortunately, they will be going back.

The Black Sofft boots are so comfy....I'm probably going to keep them because I know I will get a lot of use out of them this winter. But here's my question...are they skirt boots? Or skinnie/legging boots? If I can't wear them with skirts, they might not be worth keeping. I don't know how often I'll be wearing skinnies.

The brown Steve Madden boots are beautiful. I think one pair of boots to wear with pants is sufficient for me. I kinda wish I could wear them with skirts too. Can someone explain to me why that is not feasable? Is it because the shaft will be too loose around my calf to wear with skirts?

Ok here they are...
http://s289.photobucket.com/al.....par/boots/

Oh yea, I have a question...why do my boots seem to be a little higher on my right leg than my left? I didn't realize that until I looked at the photos.
