I'm very late in replying Nicole, and pretty much everything has been said already.
Just wanted to chime in: you were made for that denim skirt and those boots!!

The only items I'm not crazy about are the khaki jacket (a little too boxy and the colour is a bit bland) and the skirt (3) and faux wrap dress (7). I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but I think it has to do with the fabric: they looks very T-shirty and summery, and they don't really go with Winter boots and sweaters etc. (and again, the colour is a bit boring).

Also: you look fantastic in blue and purple (and the red tone of the cami you're wearing under the dress is great on you too).

Enjoy your yummy Fall clothes Nicole!!

I think it's japanese culture.... when I heard this bit, I now tease DH every time his barber trims his eyebrows! He always has one or two very long grey hairs that sprout up - and grow and grow - faster than all the rest!!! I tell them they shouldn't trim it - they will trim away all his wisdom!!!

What is it, with getting old and having weird hairs that grow like weeds?

Ooh... Marshall's... I need to get over there (it's on my burgeoning personal to-do list). It's in the mall that has the eyebrow threading stand - and my eyebrows are getting seriously ... wisdomy (apparently in certain cultures it's a sign of wisdom to have long eyebrow hairs). Plus I need to drop off a bracelet for shortening.

Thanks Shiny and Maya....I appreciate you taking time from your crazy schedules.

Shiny, the boots are Steve Madden. I got them at Marshalls. I think these are them, but I paid $99 for them at Marshalls. http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=42992
If your local Marshalls does not have them, and you want to try them, let me know, I can pick them up for you.

And the denim skirt was also a Marshalls find too. I can get you the style number on the tag if it's on there, Shiny.

Sorry Nicole! I'm beat from school + work :(

I'm going to write my thoughts before I read everyone else's:

-Favorites: high-waisted denim skirt and those boots are to die for. I think both Gap jeans look good but I guess it depends on how much they stretch. The 7's are a keeper, as is the purple cardi and black clams.

-Wrap dress: I'm not crazy about it. I think it has potential with skinnies or leggings and maybe some layering, but on its own I think it looks a bit cheap. You can do better.

-Jacket: The first thing I noticed was the color. I like it lot more unbuttoned with the bright red shirt because it livens you up a bit more, but I still feel like it would be more practical to have a jacket that isn't so blah.

-Skirt that isn't the high-waisted denim skirt: Something about the material bugs me. It gives me the same feeling that the dress did. I'm not into it. I like the top half, but I would like to see it more with a more structured skirt. Especially a denim skirt.

-Blue shirt is great. Love the color on you.

-AK shirt I'd prefer as a layering piece. I just really like seeing you with color on top.

Did I miss anything?

Okay, I read everyone's responses ....

The 7's do look very nice on you - don't get me wrong - it's just the pocket fuss I don't particularly care for, but if you like it, then go for it!

The AT shirt - I think you could have so much fun with this. I didn't realize it had red in it; initially I was thinking it was a neutral pattern palette and my first idea was put that purple cardi over it. Still might work... I would play around with it; definetly works with that gorgeous skirt...

Black clams - if you are still in weight loss mode than yes it may be best to return because by next summer you may be down to a size 4! You really are shrinking before our very eyes, aren't you??

Answering without peaking at other's responses:

1) I much prefer the Gap jeans to the Seven's. But this could just be my personal preference: I really hate any sort of busy stitching on back pockets!!!

2) Those boots are KILLER. What brand? Love them!!!!

3) Grey skirt... I'll be blunt (because I know you can handle it). I hate it. It's not the fullness (the fullness is rather nice, actually - balances you out and proportionately looks nice with those gorgeous boots). It's the sweat-shirt material-ness of it. This is a "wear around the house item" to me - one step up from sweat pants!! The older top I like - even it it has seen better days. It is a nice style on you.

4) Ken Cole skirt - omg - I LOVE this on you!!! Total keeper - I want more details. I may have to check this out myself, since we are similar builds on bottom and I have had good luck with that brand myself. I also like this old top and I would keep it.

5) Next photo with blouse tucked into the skirt - LOVE IT. You can wear this style! Wow. Love everything about this outfit!

6) Faux wrap dress - okay there's that sweatshirt grey again; you know I'm not a fan ... but this is better, because it has more structure and polish. However, I'm concerned with the length. Maybe try with some purple tights? Or skinny jeans?

7) Black clams - total keepers!!!!! The side view - wow! And that top -the color is fab on you. You need more in that color.

8) khaki jacket... it's okay. I know you have times when you want something more casual. I dunno. I have tons of khaki jackets and I find I rarely wear them anymore.

9) AT shirt - KEEP! I love it with the skirt. I think you could have fun with this top, and style it a lot of different ways.

10) Purple cardi - another lovely color on you. Keep! But let's see it with those jeans.... or the Ken Cole skirt...

Now I'll go read everyone else's responses...

Hi Nicole, I like your decisions. I personally like the black shorts, but you you're the one who needs to like them. I also liked the printed shirt you have mentioned. maybe it would work layered under a brighter cardi/sweater/vest?

Thank you everyone who weighed in. I'm glad I waited because everyone's opinion is helpful and encouraging. (Maya, i'd still like to hear from you too, but I know your super busy!)

Ok here is my final verdict, based on everyone's comments.

Originally I was planning on just keeping one pair of jeans, but since the 7's seem to be more of a bootcut, and I want a pair of straight legs, I'm going to keep the Sevens and the size 6 Gap. They both feel really good on and maybe I'll wear jeans more often if I feel good in them.

I am also going to keep the Kenneth Cole high waist skirt (yes it's the same skirt, worn two different ways, Ana). The button down shirt that everyone says is a blah color, is actually a print. It has red circles and black frames all around it. I'll take a close up of it. How can I salvage this top? I bought it at ATL last year.

And I'm going to keep the purple cardigan.

I'm definitely returning the size 8 Gaps and the Tan jacket and knit skirt. I'm still undecided on the grey dress and the black shorts. I'll try the grey dress on with a black cami and jeans and see what the verdict is. I will probably return both of them.

I also have two new tops that I forgot to take photos of. I ordered them from Bluefly with that Tahari trench. And I am waiting for three things from BR.

OK, Nicole...sorry for the wait. I'm doing this without reading anyone elses responses so I don't know if you've already decided or what's going on...here goes:

#1 and #2...like the Sevens but they don't look very straight legged. Did you measure them at the knee and then at the cuff? Just curious. I like the way they fit you so I say if they're comfy and you need another pair of bootcut jeans then keep them. Definitely a 9!

#3 I like the GAP jeans on you...how is the rise? I think they look great on you...9.

#4 weird skirt doesn't do it for me, unfortunately. I don't think it does your figure justice...sorry. The top is fine and would look better with a structured skirt...I say keep the top.

#5 and #6 I LOVE this skirt. Definitely a 9. I like it with your shirt tucked in too! I like the yellow top better than the tan top but you could definitely keep the tan top for layering.

#7 I don't like the wrap dress (sorry, I know it's comfy) but the faux wrap line cuts right across your chest. I have a similar problem and that always turns me off of an item if the wrap doesn't lay right.

#8 and #9. I like the black shorts on you. That blue shirt is such a great color on you too. I don't think it makes you look like you have a pot belly. Shorts are a 8.5.

#10 I think the color on this jacket kind of washes you out. They didn't have the size smaller, correct? I say keep looking for a jacket that's just right for you.

#11, #12 and #13...all the GAP jeans look great on you. Which one feels better? I really like the jeans tucked into your boots so if you can only do that with the size 6 then keep them (as long as they're comfy everywhere else).

#14...already said I LOVED the cardigan. 10+!

Whew, glad I got that all out of my head! I cleared some space in my brain for things like where I put my car keys

Edit: Awww, thanks for waiting for me

I guess that means I get a chance too!

I love love love the boots, KC skirt (both tucked and untucked), purple cardi and jeans. The colorful tops are the ones that stand out to me. You can do better with the skirt and the dress too. I think that the dress looks good on you but to me the styling is just a bit too t-shirty on top. Angie's suggestions about the cami and over jeans might make it work for casual.

When I put the Gap 6's on, at first, I thougth they were too small. But after about 2 minutes, they actually felt pretty good. They definitely stretched out a little bit. The 8's were comfy from the get go, but they will def. stretch.

I was only planning on keeping one pair of jeans, because I don't wear jeans that much....but I *can* keep the Sevens and the Gaps if they are both worth keeping. Are the Gaps straight leg enough, since the Seven's seem to be more of a boot cut?

I'm so glad these boots are getting such rave reviews! They are SUPER comfy too.

I'll try the dress w/skinnies and tights and boots and a black cami and see what you think. I will need to get more tunics to wear with straighter and tighter jeans.

Yes I kept the black jacket. Need to get it to mom's for the alterations on the sleeves.

I'm still waiting for Dani and hopefully Maya, before I divulge my opinions. bwhahahahahaha

My turn:

1.	Purple cardi – Fabulous! KEEP.

2.	Boots – KILLER. Wear them 24/7. Does Mia like them?

3.	Black clams – great! Keep.

4.	Denim skirt – INCREDIBLE with the boots. Keep. I love the skinny belt! It’s super with a tucked-in shirt. You HAVE a waistline. Nice and well done! Try your white shirt with it.

5.	Knit skirt – not good. I vote return.

6.	AT shirt – a great fit, but not a fab colour. Did you ever keep that black jacket?

7.	Tan jacket – not an ideal fit and not your best colour. I vote return.

8.	Faux wrap – not your best as is. BUT, it might work with a black cami and as a tunic over skinnies. Your call. You might be saying goodbye to this one.

9.	Sevens look fantastic! But they are bootcut imo. KEEP.

10.	Both Gap jeans look great. Hmmm. Which size is more comfy? Can’t tell whether they will stretch out. Love the higher rise.

Wow, Nicole, you are inspiring me to try on-line shopping.
From the pictures I'd say keep the jeans (I liked the size 6 better) and clamdiggers. The denim skirt is amazing on you, both with top out and tucked.

I liked the khaki jacket on you, especially unbuttoned with a colorful top. Could you go a size smaller if you wear it unbuttoned as in Angie's post yesterday? It should be a good season spanning piece. The purple cardi is great. Love the boots!

I liked the blue top you wore with the clamdiggers. The other tops, knit skirt and faux wrap dress were lacking something. I think it was mostly a matter of needing more color or structure

I'm waiting til Angie and Dani (and anyone else) to post before I tell you what I think. I will say I'm surprised the dress isn't getting better reviews though. I thought it was cute. But I'll trust everyone's judgement with it.

Hi Nicole,

I'm not very good with jeans sizes but all of them look good to me in terms of cut.

I specially love the denim skirt and the purple cardigan.

The khaki jacket looks nice when it is buttoned but maybe you need some colour coming out of it like a scarve or something.

Not very crazy about the faux wrap dress because of the colour.

Love your boots!

You look fab in all the jeans.
Your boots are perfect for you. I love everything about them.
The khaki jacket looks very nice on you. Khaki is hard to wear for some of us but with your hair and eye color you look great in it. The jacket also fits so nice. I really like that piece for you.
The purple cardi is beautiful. The color is hot this season and it fits you great.
I like the denim skirt on you with your boots. I have to with hold an opinion on the other skirt because from the picture I can't get a perspective on it. I think I would want to see it with different tops.
You had a successful shopping spree!

hi Nicole,
I like the following things, my vote is to keep the following.
- 7 jeans and gaps: I'd suggest you keep the smaller size in gap jeans, in my experience they stretch out.
- black calmdiggers: they look good
- i like the denim skirt with the skinny belt and tucked in shirt.
- purple cardigan, very nice on you :)

also, nice boots

I hope I don't get these confused! :D

Seven Jeans: Good, I like them. They do not look skinny to me either, they look bootcut, but they still look really nice. What is their opening measurement?

The Gap Skirt: This is sort of weird. It looks lumpy. I'd take it back. The old top looks like too tight around the shoulder area? Could be how it's layered over the button down though.

KC Denim Skirt: I love this skirt on you! Very chic. The top is okay, but I think the color washes you out a bit. This skirt deserves a really sharp, punchy top.

Are the High waist denim pencil skirt and the KC one the same? I'm confused.

The Faux Wrap Dress: Not my favorite. It sort of reminds me of pajamas (I don't know why, I'm probably crazy). Sorry. If it was only $10, maybe you could wear it around the house? I'm always looking for comfy stuff to put on when I get home to keep my nice clothes, well, nice.

Black Clamidiggers: I like these on you, although they look like walk shorts? I guess it doesn't really matter. I like the blue and black combo. Very graphic.

Khaki Jacket: I don't prefer the color (I agree with Tanya that it washes you out). Also, I think maybe this style of jacket might be too boxy for you. Also, I just think it's too big. It looks too big in the shoulders. If you really wanted to keep it, would your mom alter it for you? Maybe she could taper the side seam as well so it's not quite as boxy.

Gap Jeans, size 8 and 6: Will these stretch out, you think? They look a bit tight in the waistband. Other than that I think they're okay.

Purple Cardi: Really like this.

Wow Nicole, what an magnanimous effort. And I thought I was a big online shopper, but you bit me hands down Here are my thoughts on your new things:

& #2. Love the fit of these jeans on you! You look great in them! They look to be slightly boot cut to me, but I could be wr0ng.

#3& #11, and #12 and #13. Another nice fitting pair of jeans. I have a slight preference for size 6.

#4. The skirt is kind of strange. It's OK, but nothing special in my opinion.

#5&#6. Love this skirt on you! I like the second top too, The first one has kind of a bland color.

#7. Love the idea of the dress, but I think you can do better than this.

#8&#9. Those clamdiggers look great ! Keep them, please!

#10 & #15. I honestly do not like this jacket on you. It looks a little big, and the color seems to wash you out. How about olive/forest green instead?

#14 . Beautiful cardi! Great color and fit!

OK ladiessssss.....Here are my recent purchases. I'll post a link to the whole album so you can view all at once.

http://s289.photobucket.com/al.....Nichripar/

Incase the order in which I see them is different from the order in which you see them, I titled each photo. I have three pair of straight leg jeans. Two pair are the same Gap jeans, in different sizes, and the third pair are Seven7 Brand. (not SFAMK). I thought Seven7 were junior sizing, but these are a size 8, so I guess not. I'd like to know which jeans are the keepers. Also there are some of my own tops that I'm wondering if they should be kept or not.

#1 and #2. Seven7 jeans front and side view. Self explanatory (I only wore this shirt to show the fit of the jeans...I'd wear these as skinnies)

#3. Side View of the size 8 gaps. I don't know why the front view isn't next to teh side view, but you can see the front further down the list.

#4. Weird knit skirt from Gap. It's really weird. It has a satin lining that is not connected to the knitting on the outside. The lining fits fairly well, but the knit portion is HUGE. I mean I could fit another me inside. It's a much fuller skirt than I'm used to. I'm not sure about it. I feel really wide in it. Maybe it's the combo of the dark sweater w/the grey skirt. I need more winter skirt tops. What do you all think? Also, this is an older sweater w/a built in collar and cuff. It's too short to wear with pants. Is is a keeper? It's pretty old, but does not pill, so I kinda like it.

#5 and #6. Kenneth Cole Denim Skirt. It has a high waist, so I tried one photo with a tucked in shirt. (which I don't do very well because of my boobies) Both shirts are from my closet and I'd like to know if they are keepers, as well as opinion on the skirt.

#7. Faux Wrap Dress---Against my better judgement I ordered this dress from ON. It was TEN bucks!! Surprisingly enough, it's really soft and comfortable and fits pretty well. It curves out at the hips, so the hips are a little bigger on me, but it's stretchy enough that I don't think it's noticeable. I think it looks a bit short w/ bare legs, but I had too much to try on to bother with tights. I'd wear it with tights and maybe try it with jeans. But I kinda like it with the boots. What do you all think?

#8 and #9. Black Clam Diggers from O.N. (another $10 purchase) I thought I liked them in the mirror, but now I think they make me look like I have a pot belly. Thoughts?

#10. Khaki Canvas Jacket--open. It's a little big and is stretchy, but they didn't have the next size down. You can see it buttoned a littler further down. Opinions?

#11. Gap size 8's front view.

#12 and #13. Gap Size 6's front and side view. With an untucked longer top on the front view because this is how Id wear them. I put on the shorter top for the side view just so you could see how they fit. The longer top is the one I have tucked in with the denim skirt. I really like this shirt on the hanger, but not sure how it looks on me. It's actually a stretchy fabric, and I'm afraid may be too clingy??

#14 Purple Cardi...It's a very deep purple, I am surprised how purple it looks in the photo. In RL it looks almost black.

#15. Khaki Canvas jacket buttoned.

Phew that took a LONG time!!
