I wore my hair like Farrah in junior high, and have fond memories of Charlie's Angels. All the guys I knew had that poster on their wall. </p> <p>I remember seeing Thriller on MTV (Michael Jackson made MTV what it was), Billy Jean came out the year I graduated high school, I danced in college to all his tunes. Yes he was a weirdo (whacko Jacko) but not back when I was in college. He was the soundtrack to those years of my life!</p> <p>It just makes me feel really old all of a sudden. </p> <p>I have no idea what I'll do for this challenge. I was thinking last night, watching the retrospective images, that MJ is the reason we had PPL violations for most of the 90s. What do you think? I am a Golden Girls fanatic. Loved that woman. Maybe the challenge would be to do a tribute outfit to your favorite recently passed superstar. I know I could put together a killer Dorothy Zbornak outfit. Long slouchy sweater over long slouchy shirt with some long slouchy pants and a long slouchy bag with long slouchy boots. He is who I grew up listening to and watching. He was and is HUGE in India. I mean awesomely huge Even though, thanks to my dad, I had been exposed to western music/pop/rock since when I could comprehend music, MJ's was the music of my generation. I have been glued to the TV watching the news about MJ. I am still in shock. I remember my mother breaking down in tears when Princess Diana died and wondering how she could feel so sad about someone she didn't know in person (and this despite being old enough in the 80's to sit and watch the ENTIRE wedding on tv). But now I know how she feels. Maybe it's because he's a musician and his art has such a personal meaning for me.
