Actually, I think scarves can be more limiting than jackets because they are more attention grabbers. Jacket can be a star or a support role but a scarf will always stand out - unless it is a very neutral and discreet one.
Saying that I will play anyway!

Sounds like a fun challenge! I want to combine it with being a lemming at least a couple of times.

Hi, Ornella -

I'm in for this week, too, but will be quite limited for three days by what I happen to have in my suitcase. (I am currently away from home.) But that should be interesting in itself!

Thanks for posting your idea, and also the lovely scarf photos! You have a beautiful collection!

I'm in!

Jjsloane - scarves can be very inexpensive. Just the other day, I bought two at a discount store and they're very pretty!

Check out this site for scarf-tying tips:

http://texeresilk.com/main/cms/scarf_tying_guide

There's also the "Angie knot"

Sounds like a great idea, but oddly I have only outerwear scarves (but I have more than enough of those since my SIL gives me one for every birthday and Christmas and they are too nice to donate). I always admire their beauty and the many looks with them, but it is a definite hole in my wardrobe. Also I'm a total dunce at tying them and not looking like a boy scout. I think that's what I should ask for from Secret Santa.

Janet, it's not a challenge as such, certainly not in the same sense bella does Picture Perfect ones.

But, after posting my summary thread about what I've learnt from combing through my wardrobe using the themes as filters, Suz and Carol suggested I post what I plan for some weeks and others may join in.

I need to get dressed every day and such approach works *for me*, I've found a way to make the most of my wardrobe. It may be too restrictive for others. If anyone can have any use of it though, that's great.

Last week I posted that I had planned to do a week of outfits around jackets and Amy and Sveta did it too (so did Suz, she'll post hers later).

I found it very interesting and educational to see in which ways people style jackets.

Nice idea. I haven't joined in a weekly theme yet, I should play along this time. I certainly have enough scarves... I should post a pic of all my scarves and shock everyone with the sheer number of them!

Care to join me?

In the spirit of giving myself themes for the weekly outfits, the next week will revolve around the scarves. This one should be a lot less restrictive than the week before around the jackets :)

The idea from my side is as before - to use different things and possibly the ones that haven't been in rotation recently, and try to be as creative with them as possible. There are specific ways I tend to wear scarves, but I'll try and see what other ways of knotting them I can put in practice..

Photo 1 are the scarves I plan to use, they haven't been whittled down to the final selection yet. There are long silky ones, 'regular' silk square scarves and casual, both oblong and square scarves.
Plus, there are some in the shop in town I haven't had a chance to check again, but will possibly one of these days.

Photo 2 are the scarves that featured in my recent WIWs quite a lot and I won't be using them.
