For example, I wouldn't want to necessarily be open to live chats just if I was signed in and had YLF open on my browser, because it's there in the background a lot while I'm looking at other tabs. Do you have any idea how easy it is to waste scads of time on instant messaging? I use Google chat quite a lot with out-of-town friends, or even in-town ones, and it's a tremendous tool for procrastinating.
