They are like "you passed it, that's the most important thing" and they know how it goes. I am sure as the years go by you will see it is not important in the end, but I can understand how it stings for now.<br /> What a beautiful blue you chose! Glad you could treat yourself.<br /> I like the U.S. system where in the end you get a certificate with no grade. (You get a grade for individual courses instead, and you might need to show the average of all these grades for applications straight out of school, but after that it doesn't matter anymore.) You can just enjoy the accomplishment of your degree without having it be divided into shades of better and worse. Anyway from what I have seen in Germany, the final grades aren't so meaningful in biology at least because a wide range of talents and efforts end up with the same grade, and besides that the grading decisions are a bit arbitrary. My guess is that whoever decided on this grade for you wanted to make a point that the written part was less than they expected from you, but they didn't want to harm your final grade, which is the most important thing, as you say. I'll have to think about ordering online, although I don't really want to - H&amp;M is so unpredictable with their sizing. Maybe I should just wait until I see something similar elsewhere.</p> <p>But I got a new watchband! All the looking at watches for Thistle made me want something new and then I decided to treat myself. I love the way this looks, now I just have to soften the leather up.</p> <p>I just really needed some retail therapy after this morning. I went to fetch my bachelor's certificate today and I got a poor grade on my bachelor thesis. I already suspect it wouldn't be that good because the subject was badly chosen and I had big difficulties writing it, but I hadn't thought it would be that bad. The grade is only a small part of the general grade that is really good, but it annoys me all the same because this grade is of course prominently shown on the certificate. This doesn't have any negative effects on my studies, I'm already approved for the M.A. program and I guess the master's certificate is going to be more important for the job search in the end, but I don't like it all the same. Oh, well. </p>
