I just wanted to thank everyone for your excellent advice, and it was a tough choice for me because I really like both watches. I did a lot more shopping, and I feel confident that I've looked at everything out there that's in my price range and that fit into my desired criteria. After much ado, I finally decided on the Michele watch. It's the one I kept coming back to. Now that I have it, it seems less sporty than I had originally thought. I'm just thrilled with it, and I was really happy to have your input. I'm keeping the other on on my radar, though, because I like it as well. Maybe some day, I'll spring for that one too!

I find that when you go oversized with the watch, then the watchface really has a bigger star role. At times a really big watch with numbers can a little funny & cheapo whereas Roman numerals can appear more sleek. It greatly depends on the "typeface" of the numerals. Also that triple inset style is quite popular but to me tends to look more utilitarian and less dressy than the less-cluttered look so again, sometimes you're trying to see if it's the band or the face that will drive the look in the direction you want for the outfits you're trying to create.

I'll be the voice of dissent. I love the Michelle watches. The one you posted definitely has a sporty look. This one is a little more elegant (see pic) and goes great with dresses and suits as well as jeans. But what I love most is the interchangeable bands! Great for switching up the look and feel.

I like number 2 a lot better, but I'm not the sporty sort, so I'm biased. I also like the roman numerals

Thank you for your input! I like to 2nd one too, but I think I might prefer numbers instead of Roman numerals. But that one is a good start. I'll keep hunting...

I'm on the hunt for a new silver watch, and I want to go with an oversized one. Right now, I think I'd prefer a round face, and I prefer the face to be white. I've found 2 that I like so far (pictured below), but I'm not sure. I really like the Michele watch, but I don't know if it might be too sporty. I can't imagine how it might look with a more dressy outfit, for example. And I don't know much about these watches - quality, etc. Still shopping, so your thoughts and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!!
