<p><div>I like it both ways, Ket! I can see it working as others have suggested. Jaime had similar thoughts to mine.&nbsp;</div><div>I would like to see it open, with your fab perfect-fit jeans, and a tucked casual short-sleeved tee.&nbsp;</div>

<p>Wow! Thank you, <b>Janet</b>!! After wearing more non-waist silhouettes lately, I've actually been missing waist emphasis. And I need some new belts. This is the only one I have and I'm starting to feel bored after 4 years. Love the ease of it though It's one of those elastic styles, with hook-and-eye closures on the belt hardware.&nbsp;

<p><b>Angie</b>, yay! I like it unbuttoned. AND.. I really like it belted to. It's really different and fun and well -- wasp waist!<div><br /><b>Lise</b>, I so know what you mean. It's a huge departure for me. That said, it does feel in sync with my current style. I need to workshop it here more but I really feel it will look great with all my more 1970s autumn/winter items. All of the soft chiffon, bishop-sleeve blouses and dresses, and my flare/bootcut jeans. I also think it could be good with a maxi/midi length tube skirt, a turtleneck, and maybe a mesh mock-neck top--all of which I want to sew or buy for this coming autumn/winter. I don't think I will enjoy it styled with a tee and jeans--just too severe. But I'll have to see.&nbsp;</div>

<p>I prefer it belted. I'm so used to your feminine vibe that I can't quite get used to the masculine vibe when it is open. Is this piece in synch with your current style direction? Which bottoms will you pair with it?

<p>More vest styling photos!&nbsp;</p>
<p><div><br /></div><div><b>Angie, notice open vest!</b></div><div><br /></div><div>I also tried belting it and wow! Tiny waist :O I actually kind of like it belted for a very 1980s Power Suit feel.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>Discovered the vest still has the tags attached. So if the consensus is return, it can be :)&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>FWIW, the wrinkling around the front when it's buttoned? It's the cut, not the fit. The original stock photos also show some fabric folds on the model. There is some excess fabric in front when it's buttoned. Just the way it's cut.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>PS&nbsp;Sorry for the very unstyled photos. Everyone has had a flu-like virus in our house; I'm just surfacing again for air. Bubs was down with diarrhea for 8 days then it morphed into mild cold. Hubs was all upper respiratory stuff for about 8 days now. I'm somehow hanging on so far.&nbsp;</div>

But I do see some wrinkling now in a couple spots near the lapel. I will see what happens with it being worn open. I just fell in love with it and didn't pay close attention. (oops.) Photos soon!</div>

<p>I have been wanting to try a double-breasted style vest ever since I saw <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.nordstrom.com/s/rag-bone-faye-longline-double-breasted-wool-blend-vest/4335230?fashionColor=SALUTE">Angie's Rag &amp; Bone version</a>.&nbsp;</p>
<div><br /></div><div>Well, I was shocked when I stumbled across a similar--yet different--vest on Eloquii's site! And on steep sale!</div><div><br /></div><div>The fit is perfection! I purchased a size 14. It was a gamble for me, but it worked out. (I was between the 14 and 16.) The 14 has ample room for a blouse, dress, or turtleneck under it. I could even see wearing a mesh shirt and cami under it and belting it. And I am excited to try this on with my boho items too!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>What are some ways I could style this? </b>I am all for mixing styles and eclectism. My feeling is this could (will??) be a workhorse item.&nbsp;I could see wearing a mesh shirt and cami under it and belting it. And I am excited to try this on with my boho items too!</div><div><br />Watcha think?&nbsp;</div><div><br />P.S.&nbsp;Yes, I totally tried this on over my athletic wear. It was one of those days :} I haven't workshopped it yet. Need some uninterrupted time, and Hubs and Bubs have been sick for days. Finally on the mend thankfully.
