The banding or whatever it is below the bust seems to hit slightly too high, which might be contributing to the boxiness. I am also not a fan of short sleeved button-downs but that is just my personal taste - I prefer them to have full-length sleeves that I can roll up. I don't remember if you already have one, but have you tried a silk button down shirt?
