Yes, I believe that’s the idea. They have not actually launched yet and this first collection was backed by a Kickstarter campaign. I would imagine that if their business is successful they would put out additional pieces. Remember, both of these businesses linked are very small businesses without the same resources for large collections like many companies we might have been buying from. That both of them are focusing on a few pieces, sustainable materials, ethical production, AND relatively inclusive size ranges matters more to me than if their product range fits every situation that I need clothes for. I’m excited to watch both brands and see what’s next.

Yes, my point mostly being that this is a really limited view of multi-purpose travel clothing as far as I can see -- there are no pants, no skirt longer than mid-thigh. No long sleeves. Maybe this is just the beginning and they'll expand their offerings.

Kari, that’s all true. I know that my preferences are my own. But I’m just so annoyed how difficult it is to find travel friendly (and preferably sustainable) clothing that isn’t either gear or - to me - unwearable in everyday life. I prefer to pack minimal, I’ve been travelling carryon only for years and years. So I’m always on the look for clothing that travels well. I don’t understand why this is so difficult. Also, maybe I’ve been to different destinations, but I usually need to be prepared for a range of temperatures on a trip. If I want to be neither too hot nor too cold on the way and pack little I need to be extra careful what items to pick.

I simply couldn’t get behind their tag lines of „Travel further with less“ and „Apparel for the modern traveller“ I guess. Not to say that this might not be nice clothing to wear if you like the style and want to rock the look...

Right, but that’s a distinction between what works for your individual travel preferences and what you might wear. I don’t see why that makes them not ideal as travel clothes if one is in a warm climate and doesn’t need these clothes specifically to visit a church or a museum. But maybe I pack differently for travel than Astrid and Janet do - if I need clothes that cover more or are more formal, I bring pieces that will work for those occasions. If I’m traveling somewhere that could get cold, I would not bring pieces that are this exposed because I’d freeze - though the dress looks like it has good layering potential from the photo I linked. If I were going to Hawaii or San Diego in hot weather, I could see wearing something like this if it were comfortable. Not all travel is the same.

It’s always good to see more options like this! But I’m with Astrid — those pieces are not travel friendly for me, personally. I don’t wear things that short and bare, and I see her point about wearing those styles in many places I’ve visited, where museums, or touring a cathedral or mosque might be on the agenda. I am also clearly much older than their target demographic. For a beach vacation or other super relaxed hot-weather travels they look comfy.

i guess I’m not seeing what you’re seeing. No, I wouldn’t wear these to a church or a formal restaurant, but that’s true for some of my other travel clothes. They aren’t that shockingly short for what I see folks here (Pacific NW) wear in summer.
It’s a small, new to be launched brand, and their aesthetic doesn’t have to suit everybody!

No, even if it's warm... If you truly want to pack little you need things that work everywhere you might want to go while travelling. That would include, to me, restaurants, museums, churches and so on. And also non touristy places. To me these pieces feel appropriate for a beach resort, but not much else. Especially in a more conservative country.

Like silk fabric sounds nice, but the clothes are as far as you can get from being ideal for minimal travel. Way too short and revealing. Too bad...
