They were built differently in the straps and unfortuately cut into the top of my foot so I had to return them. I think they are so cute and I miss them. I did replace them with a slip on in patent red to make myself feel better, and they don't cut my feet.<br /> Maybe you should take some mole skin with you to the party just in case they start to rub while you're dancing up a storm. You know, wood sole/heel and thickish leather straps. But the Swedes know their way around a shoe! </p> <p>The shoes are 2.8" high, but have an almost 1" platform, so are easy and superstable to walk around in. The leather is a bit stiff, but will soften with time. Right now, the leather doesn't hit me in any strange ouchy spots, so it should only get better. Perfect since I plan on wearing them to a 70s/disco theme auction dance party next week.
