The fit is nicely skimming and flattering! I prefer it sans belt; I think the shape of this dress may not be quite right for belting. It looks great on its own, and it will also work as a blank slate to showcase a scarf or necklace. There is only a touch of leg showing your photo, so I can't quite tell where it hits, but it looks to me like the dress could be worn as a dress, perhaps with tights, if you are so inclined. I could see it with tall boots, short boots, or ballet flats.
