I feel that there are some elements that I can incorporate in my casual lifestyle. I always admire the way color palettes are done for red haired blue eyed women. They make it look so easy because either the match their hair or eye color . As a brown eyed, brown hair girl I always have to work harder and play with undertones or contrasting color because adding more brown to the mix would make me look very blah. Obviously a trench coat would work, knee high boots, and maybe a knee length dress.  I bought one recently (with bell sleeves, knee length, fairly loose) and find it a super versatile addition.  Cute printed silk scarves could also work with this look. I have been obsessed by Jed on The Night Manager and her style.  She has a very cool, elegant, pale, draped look.  I have even called my hairdresser about getting her haircut....  The look does not translate well to my life but I admire it a lot. It's a fun, con-artist caper-type show. I enjoy the show but am absolutely in love with the main character, Alice, and her style. I think it could be describe as classic with a 60s mod touch. It's enough the make me look for a dressy job, and I am seeking out way to incorporate elements of her look into my ultra-casual lifestyle. Liquid eyeliner anyone?!? She also happily has to wear some practical clothes for her private-detective ventures so I'll be taking notes. Has anyone else been sucked in by Alice's style - or any other new style muses?
