Overall, the advice has always been to size up in white jeans. I think these fall into the same color category. Sometimes people comment that the white just seems to run smaller than dark jeans (when they buy the same brand, style, & size).

I know, for me, that dark bottoms recede, so you can't see the fit as clearly as with light bottoms, and it could be the same fit as white but it sure doesn't look the same.

Also, advice has often been to size up and get the waist altered to fit again.

So, if these still appeal to you and you're not ready to return and move on, you could consider . . .

Yeah I have skinnies that work great under boots OR rolled up - but left alone are too short. But that's how I want to wear them anyways.
And yes, also have had the experience of too stretchy skinnies giving me sausage leg. Keep looking, it's the jeans not your body.

Thank you all,,Suz you are right it is the fabric-too stretchy, and too much spandex. I did a comparison of how they feel according to the black ones shown and my blue denim skinnies, and they are stretchier, and just feel different. I will return them. They may be a bit short, but I have long legs for my size. Going larger usually doesn.t work as they never feel right in the rear. I have a weird body,,big shoulders, big boobs, a bit long wasted and long legs.
Funny that I never noticed the length on the black ones, but I have only worn them with boots. The blue denim ones are longer.

I'd also be curious to see the next size up. Some skinnies are just cut to be tight in the legs. The wrinkling could also be from the stretchy fabric and in that case, a size up probably won't matter.

No sausage in sight. My guess is that either you need to size up, OR the fabrication is wrong for you. For me, some skinnies are too thin and stretchy and in that case I get weird wrinkling like this, whatever the size.

Yes, not really looking fat, but sizing up might look better. They just look tight...Do you like that length to show off shoes are would longer work better for you??

I don't think the lavender jeans make your legs look fat at all. Perhaps a little tight, and a size up would have been interesting to see as a comparison. I do find both pairs of skinnies a tad short though. Is that your impression too?

here are the photos-new jeans that I said make my legs look like sausages.
comparison of my black skinnies that I have had for a while, and love them.
The color is really pale lavender but looks washed out in the photos. Anyone think they look ok, or should they go back..Somehow they look a little better in the photos, but to me still make my legs look fat.
