I had been thinking for a while that I wanted to experiment with false lashes but after trying this mascara I don't have to!</p> <p>I've been experimenting with contouring and blush. I'm finally at the age (turning 40 this year) that I can't go out without blush or lipstick. Contouring is confusing for me but I'm giving it a go. </p> <p>I change my routine considerably with the seasons. In the winter I do a lot of smokey eyes and dramatic lips, and tend to do darker plums and metallics for eyes. In the summer I play a lot with color especially greens turquoise purples and pinks. Nude lips mostly. I do use either a deep plum or navy soft pencil eyeliner on top lash line only. I like Origins foundation, mascara and liners and have used them for many years - no longer use/need concealer under eyes but I do use a little foundation under there too (I learned long ago that lighter concealers can make your eyes look puffy underneath and irritate my skin too much). I use Bare minerals Or Laremin blush and use brush some of the color on my eye lids just to add a hint of rosy color to my otherwise sort of light olive leaning skin tone. Sometimes I will darken my blush color slightly in summer but peach tones and bronzers don't look great on me.</p> <p>Lips for me are always nudes (but I have pretty dark rose with a hint of brown lipcolor). Light tones or anything frosty looks too "fake" on me. But my makeup is kind of minimal anyway, and there are only a few colors/effects I like.</p> <p>What I do tend to change is lip color.&nbsp; I wear a lot of red and dark red in cooler months, but often in warm weather I reach for Revlon balm stain in sheer red, and for Tangee. On me, Tangee turns into a fairly bright, sheer-ish pink. Very spring/summer and fun! It feels wonderful on, too. I would like to find another source, though. My moisturizer is lighter than the one I use over the colder months. I tweek my cheek color, eye shadow, and lip color over the seasons, preferring more color in the colder months to warm me up and softer colors during the warmer months. I always use a concealer under my eyes near to the middle where I have thin skin and it always has a dark, almost purple hue to it. No matter how many concealer I've tried after a while they all dry out and look creasy. Now, all I do is dip a finger end into one of those little round blue pots of lip Vaseline and put a dab over the top of my concealer. I just picked up many of the items from the new Lancome Spring 2016 collection. A bright pink lipgloss, the pink creamy blush, light blue eyeliner pencil (looks great smudged under my bottom lash line, matching blue nail polish, and a cute tin of little cubes that can be used on eyes or face.</p> <p>When the weather warms up, I usually change from mostly neutrals and reddish lip colors to pinks and pops of color.</p> <p>Now I just need the weather to settle down...60s over the weekend, snow yesterday evening...sigh</p> <p>My favorite you tuber is Lisa Eldridge ... she is now the makeup guru for Lancome. I'm late to the highlighter game but my newest extreme love is IT Cosmetics Hello Light. I use the cream compact one...it is a "hard cream"...like you don't scoop up a dab of it, you rub your fingers or a brush over the compact and pat it on where you want. </p> <p>The reason I love it so much is that it is a medium level of highlight...soft glow, nowhere near a strobing effect. It does what it is supposed to, extremely well...a soft, natural glow, nothing glitter or shiny.
