The sleeves are very long and the coat can be worn over another jacket - something I hadn't been paying attention to before, but have learnt not to repeat that mistake again. I've learnt to leave room for the jacket under the puffer in <strong><a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/2012/02/13/fashion-week-day-3">this post</a></strong> :-)</p> <p>Also, there is no strictly defined waist, belt or loops, and I am happy with how this style works on me. It's slightly flared and more importantly - the proportions are not all over the place (i.e. the waistline is not under my actual bust-line, as is the case with regular sized clothing on a tall body).</p> <p>An interesting thing happened while I was trying it on in the shop. I remembered clearly that when I first tried the coat in the store it was very comfortable over the jacket I wore at the time. So, I went for the European size 46, one size bigger than what I'd normally try, but it was tight across the shoulders and the hips too. As there were no coats left in the next size up (48) I was almost ready to call it a day, but then it occurred to me I could try next size down, size 44, just for the sake of comparison - and it was perfect! 44 was actually roomier. Go figure!</p> <p>Just goes to show the size is just a number.</p> <p>And this purchase crosses off the one item I had on my need/wish list. </p>
