My husband chose it, he loves Beethoven and the piano piece, and we had come across a nice young woman with the name when I was pregnant. It’s actually French we think? We have Anglicised the pronunciation. But the funniest thing is that she now has a French boyfriend for 2.5 years, and we wonder if it’s sort of fate?! ANGIE it is Danish although I have no Danish blood. My parents had very close Danish friends when I was born. My parents pronounced it Leeza but I started introducing myself as Lisa in my early teens.
