My southern aunt (meaning southern USA) taught me to make a jug of iced tea from boiling water and three bags, allowed to steep then chilled. I drink this over ice without any milk or sugar and it’s soooo refreshing on a hot summer day. Bubble tea and other Asian verisons are also having a second wave of popularity here, and I actually grabbed an iced green tea with passion fruit flavour today after a trip to the gym, even thought it’s minus 10 or so outside! I never drink commercial ice tea and DO drink hot tea all day in the summer!</p> <p>A few years ago, when I lived in a house with no aircon, on very hot days I would make up some tea in a jug in the morning, with milk (I don't drink milk in my tea now, except if it is Chai, but I did&nbsp; them) and keep it in the fridge. I don't know of anyone else who does this - people are more likely to drink other cold drinks if they want something cold. Ice coffees in cartons are pretty popular, particularly among truckies and tradesmen</p> <p>Bubble tea is quite popular at the moment - but bought from a shop.
