I actually went in to try on black and white gingham pants (4 different kinds) and not one pair worked. They were all stretchy and fitted and gave quite the op-art effect, and none of them looked at all nice. Perhaps I'd have better luck with a woven pant, slim but not clingy. The past 2 summers it was floral pants... Last year's are on the stool in the foreground. They are sturdy stretchy stuff, mostly rayon. Comfortable and inexpensive. No pockets but I can deal.</p> <p>Trip to the city for a medical appointment so trying on some pants at Winners. Need to decide now, I won't be back this way soon.</p> <p>The second pair are striped linen. I don't find tie waists flattering and these can only be worn one way so I'll probably pass on them.</p> <p>Thoughts? </p>
