<p><div>Thanks, <b>Torontogirl</b>. I have found a few good options. Today I saw a pair by Topshop, too, but I didn't try them on. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I picked up the Treasure &amp; Bond jeans in a size down, and I like the fit of them better--thanks, <b>Joy</b>! I was surprised that they are not too tight after all. <br /></div><div>I also bought the Madewell Perfect Vintage jeans, to compare. I took photos comparing the two sizes of Treasure &amp; Bond, plus the Madewell pair. Once I receive the Levi's Wedgie jeans in black, too, I'll take more photos and then share ALL with you here on a new thread!! <br /></div></p>

<p><b>Sharan</b>, although the blue Wedgie's look super cute - I hear you on not wanting to duplicate the wash. The dark wash and black are better suited to your style.

<p>Firecracker: no, no. I just mean that I think for winter, you could use another pair of full-length mom jeans. But it looks like you already have some!</p>
<p>Thank you for modelling them! I am excited to see the fit on other fabbers. This is something that the eye must adjust to, but I find it super-fresh and fun. I really like the ease through the leg. I know boyfriend jeans also have this ease, but they’re also a bit droopy, which never worked for me.

<p><div><b>Runcarla</b>, I don't think I could comfortably wear a size down in the Wedgie jean. And yes, I do want a slouchier jean. I don't want tight, heavy denim. I'm okay with stretchy jeans being tight, but not the heavy denim that doesn't stretch. What I like about some of these new styles is the not-skin-tight fit, something a little looser but not completely baggy.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Brooklyn</b>, I'm flattered to have inspired you! <br /></div></p>

<p>Well, I just found the Wedgie jeans in black at Nordstrom. Not the Icon, and not the faded black that I was trying to order from Shopbop, but a straight-leg version in a darker black. I've ordered them. I'll also go back and try the Treasure and Bond in the size down. And maybe pick up the Madewells to show you all here, to get feedback on the contenders. Thanks, all!

<p>I like the first jeans unrolled - and with the wine coloured loafers the best ( bookending the top). The wedgie jeans pics later on look like they are 1 size too big. Do you want a more slouchy jeans look?

<p><div>For comparison, here are the Levi's Wedgie jeans in a blue wash, which Shopbop sent me in error (photos 1-3). The third photo shows them cuffed.</div><div><br /></div><div>And the reason I don't really want blue ones (as much as I am tempted!): I have a medium-dark wash blue jean already. It's a retro side-zip dungaree style, from OSKA (photos 4-6). Shown with the floral loafers again, and a new gray and navy pullover sweater from Madewell. This is what I'm wearing today<br /></div><div><br /></div>

<p><div>Thanks everyone, for your thoughts! <br /></div><div><b>Kathie</b>, I appreciate your picks on the footwear. I would probably wear them most often with the boots in 7 in colder weather. <br /></div><div><b>kkards</b>, you have shown some great looks with newer jeans styles. I appreciate your weighing in. <br /></div><div><b>shevia</b>, thanks for your vote! I much prefer the unrolled version, too.</div><div><b>smittie</b>, thanks! Do you mean try something less cropped than these for winter? Or are you saying that these are less cropped than other styles out there?&nbsp; (as is true, actually, for some of the cropped flares I have)</div><div>Thanks, <b>LaPed</b>--glad to have tempted you! I wouldn't necessarily have tried them from the photos online; I'm glad the sales person brought them to me. He really listened to what I was asking for.</div><div>Thanks, <b>Rachylou</b>!</div><div><b>Sal</b>, I wonder the same thing: will the Wedgie become available again in the faded black that I liked? Wish I had a crystal ball!</div><div><br /></div><div>&nbsp; <br /></div></p>

<p>But you look wonderful in jeans -and such a variety of styles - so you don't need to settle. If you love the Wedgie I am sure it will be available again in the black?

<p>Right , I get it. So would not necessarily give up on them. I like that kind of fit, too. Something that might have been found in all the variations of “ slim BF” or “ girlfriend “ or “ slim straight “ or something but maybe now with notably higher rise.

Not looking like a particular style? <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>What I'm going for here, and what I love about my Levi's Wedgie jeans, is a not-tight fit through the hip and leg, but a high rise, which makes them also not baggy. I kind of liked the wider hem on these--which is not flared, but simply a straight leg that looks, in some angles, like it is a little flared. I have found I don't love the wide-leg jeans hem on me, so I thought this might be fun. Maybe not, though!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>StyleFan</b>, I'm thinking of going back and trying the next size down (I have a feeling they will be too tight, since these feel comfortable as they are), at least for comparison. I think I'll also bring home the Madewell, which are more similar to the Wedgie jeans that I really like. <br /></div></p>

<p>These look fine but confuse me as to style and what they are for. Which is true for me for the myriad of jeans styles now! . The bottom hem looks almost like a bit of flare. Are you going for the color, or trying to get a new fit?<br />
They look like a fluid fit so perhaps very comfortable. And ankle length to show footwear.<br />
Now I’m not sure what I’m saying....

<p>I like these on you but it looks like they are bigger on you than the model.&nbsp;Did you try a size down?&nbsp; &nbsp;

<p><div>Angie's post about trendy jeans silhouettes inspired me to look for another pair of Levi's Wedgie Icon jeans. I have them in cream and love them. I thought it would be nice to find a pair like them in black or faded black. And I did--I ordered them from Shopbop. I was so excited when they arrived, and then I opened the package, and they were the wrong color! Shopbop had sent me a blue jean. I wasn't sure whether to return them or not, since by this time, the black were sold out in my size. And I do love the style. . . .</div><div><br /></div><div>But I found another couple of options at Nordstrom that were also in the price range I could bear: Madewell's&nbsp; Perfect Vintage jeans, in a faded black, which are very, very similar to the Levi's Wedgie Icon jeans. And Treasure &amp; Bond Stovepipe Straight Leg jeans, which are somewhat different--not quite as high-rise, a little more fitted in the seat, and a true straight leg rather than a tapered one. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I ended up bringing home the Treasure and Bond jeans, because I liked the rear view better. I'm still thinking about whether to get the Madewell jeans, too, or instead of these. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I've tried them on here with different footwear and trying them rolled and unrolled. It's so hard to see details on black jeans in photos, but I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have. Keep? Shorten? Wear rolled or not?</div><div>1-2: jeans unrolled, with floral loafers</div><div>3-4: jeans rolled, with wine-red studded loafers</div><div>5-6: jeans unrolled, with black studded cut-out booties</div><div>7: jeans unrolled, with black chelsea boots</div><div><br /></div><div>thanks in advance for your thoughts!<br /></div>
