Send it back for sure. That's very disappointing from JCrew. A good wool should not crease up like that, and if there are a few creases after you've worn a skirt all day, they should fall out over night. I'd be tempted to look for a different make altogether.

Lovely fit on you but definitely needs to go back as the skirt and jacket don't match

Send it back! For the mismatch as well as the creasing issue. Paying as much as you probably have I wouldn't want my "serious" suit to crease.

Have you tried the crinkle test? Squeeze a corner of fabric with your hand and see if the wrinkles stay. In any case I would exchange because of the color difference. Nice fit!

While the cut of this suit is lovely on you, the color of the skirt and jacket definitely do not match, so it should absolutely go back. Whether or not you simply request a replacement depends on how much the wrinkling bothers you. My experience is that some of the lighter weight wool fabrics are just more prone to wrinkling. I have one suit in particular that I can rarely wear more than once before having to send it to the cleaners.

You look great in this silhouette though!!

Thanks Joy. The skirt is lined, although the material feels kind of thin. I could size up to prevent creasing when I sit but I'm not sure it would fit as well.

You can see in the photo that the jacket and skirt are different. Maybe they are from different dye lots. Other than that it looks great on you. I'd return and order another skirt and jacket, asking that they match. Not sure about the wrinkling. Is the skirt lined?

I've been searching for a nice suit and ordered this one from JCrew. The fit feels nice and it's 100% merino. What's strange though is that even though the jacket and skirt are from the same line (120s) and same color, they don't seem to match perfectly.

The other issue is that I've noticed wrinkling. You can see it on the front of the skirt and the elbow area. I've only tried it on! I don't think the skirt is too tight. Are these deal breakers? I thought this would be a high quality suit, now I'm not so sure.
