This is my first time posting here (been a lurker) and finally I feel like I can contribute something to a post.

My feet is always cold, so I was always on the lookout for comfy and warm house slippers. 2 years ago, I found Baabuk. They made wool slippers and I been wearing the pair since. It's comfy, does not stink and nice red color. They do have pretty colors. I haven't reorder because it last that long. I think they have a US site, their main site is somewhere in Europe.

A suggestion for those looking for warm house shoes. DH got a couple of fleece lined crocs at the Croc Outlet. I will try them when I need to replace my fleece lined Target sliver slippers. Socks, even thick wool, are too slippery on wood or tile floors. The Crocs can be washed off if they are accidentally worn outside. They have several styles and lots of colors for women, men and children of all ages.

Wow thanks Suz! Very useful yet dangerous (for my wallet) information.

I don't have many finds collected but here are a few of my favorite shoes...also I've been wearing Birkenstock booties. My house slippers are these cozy woolen blue birkenstocks, worn with warm socks:

https://www.birkenstock.com/us.....XiEALw_wcB

Runs with Scissors -- that's great to hear!

Julie -- very interesting, and yes! Happy to oblige! I tend to gravitate to the same brands -- La Canadienne, Blondo, Aquatalia for winter footwear. Topshop, weirdly enough (and sometimes Zara) give me a good fit! Ecco often works but not always.

Here's my current footwear collection. What will become obvious is that I prefer a shoe with a 1" to 2.5" heel. I don't have flat feet but higher arches and that feels more comfortable to me than a flat shoe. Into those booties I usually place an insole for PF as well. I can only wear the Ecco sneakers with an insole -- usually Superfeet. (The Fitflops seem fine so far.) My secret is to switch up footwear a lot -- this helps to prevent strain for me. I walk a lot so the PF is always threatening to return, although (knock on wood) I've been able to keep it at bay for a while now.

Jane -- yes, this house is positively luxurious with storage space. I am not yet used to it!

Suz, just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation! I had been wanting to replace my aging Ugg boots that serve as my Winter house shoes with something with more arch support. I ordered the Fit Flops Loaff variant that was cheapest in my size on Amazon. They arrived today, and seem like winners -- functional and fairly cute!

Nice! I have those same fit flops (in grey with a black band)- they were good for my PF and I was happy to find slip-ons that don't slip-off! I wore them all around last spring/summer with cropped pants and dresses. It sounds like we have similar issues so I'm going to pay close attention to all of your shoe purchases and posts...

Sara - indoor Uggs would be pure luxury. I wanted Ugg slippers but alas, they don't fit me. I wanted the moccasin style but, as usual, it just flips off my foot....

RobinF, those look really good -- thank you.

Cardiff Girl, I hear you on the destruction. I destroy slippers quickly also -- kitchen spills and the like, I suspect. At least the sneaker house shoe can be washed.

Jane, in our current house (the one we are renting) we have a blissful amount of space for storage. The entryway is large and includes a long bench with space for outdoor shoes on a shelf, PLUS a closet with shelves and floor space for shoes and boots. So I keep my muddiest footwear there. My dressier shoes and boots still live upstairs in my bedroom closet -- I like to see how they complete outfits and so keep them there. Our home in Kingston has a very cramped 19th century entry so Mr. Suz and the child keep boots (winter boots) there at entry and I trudge to a basement storage area with my own!

Nice buys! I have never found FitFlops that work for my feet but those are a style I haven't seen. I don't like to wear my shoes in the house and just this year got these clogs at Nordstrom Rack. They are warm enough to wear without socks if I want and very comfy. And they have a hard sole so I can run out to the mail if I need to. I don't see them at the Rack any more but looks like they are on Amazon.

Such a good idea. I grew up in the country with barbed wire and horses so barefoot was a huge no no (tetanus) in my youth and I’ve never adapted. Plus we keep our house cool so I just need slippers. I need some pure house slippers so I’m not tempted to dash outside and drag in the muck. I typically use my worn out versions of Merrill clogs, but they are too easy to wear outside. I have tried several n some Fit Flop sneakers which seemed ok for my wide forefoot, but have not ever pulled the trigger.

Carla, for SURE check those out. Any kind of slip on sneaker could work for in-between temps, I think -- I just have major problems getting a fit with those. And you definitely need something warmer for winter.

I wear my Fitflop sandals in the kitchen in summer back in Kingston. If you have narrow low volume feet you might have to fiddle to get Fitflops to fit -- Vionic might work a bit better, although that, too, depends. Fitflops work for me IF there is a half size or if they have adjustable straps -- the regular shoes are too wide/ high volume for me. But I love, love, love, love the heel cushioning and my feet love it too, so I try to get them to work.

Angie, those look great. We have hardwood floors in our Kingston kitchen, too (and the whole house really, and in the rental house here in Vancouver as well, except for the even harder tile of the kitchen!) Our Kingston kitchen is also excruciatingly cold because there is no basement, just a crawl space, beneath it. So super warm slippers are vital! Here, the temps are not so bad but the hard floors are.

Delurked, if those Clarks work for you in winter I'd highly recommend a slip on sandal for summer indoor wear!

Excellent! Since moving (4+ year ago) I've been at a loss on how to,deal with the hard, cold, tile floors of our kitchen - where I spend so much time and my cushy flip flops are old, and cold in the winter. Will def check out your options, and Angie's Campers.
