I've found that a contrasting (but tied in to a colour somewhere else in the outfit) pair of boot socks deters the eye from noticing a bit of a gap at the tops of the boots. Less fit issues in the calf area.&nbsp;Knee-high boots add extra warmth, I know, but perhaps layering two pairs of hose will keep your legs warm enough also?
