On a swatch it’s a basic brown with slightly auburn undertones . </p> <p>The root powder was just from Shoppers Drug Mart in with the regular hair stuff . I always had a little shock after having my hair done when the color would be a couple of shades darker than I expected, but yes, it always settles down after a few washes. This makes me feel a little better about my decision . It’s a pretty dramatic change and I don’t always see what others do when I mess around with my hair . My natural colour is a mid brown , quite dark still in some areas with not much grey . </p> <p>Irina - I was/ am getting really tired of all of the earth tones in my closet and how “ the same “ I felt I looked all the time . I’m having a newfound fascination with purple and hope to find a sweater or something in silk or linen even ……. And I don’t mind this denim shirt I have on in this photo that I found in my closet with tags still on . Oops . Usually this colour leaves me cold but I kind of like it now ! Diff makeup for sure , which I have to figure out before I return to work tomorrow </p>
