I sooooooo want to dye my hair purple, and part of it is because of something I'm pretty sure you said on here. I seem to recall you telling us you told your stylist that you wanted "appalling color". Unfortunately, the company that employs me doesn't allow 'unnatural' hair colors. All of you wonderful people and this wonderful place where we congregate have been on my mind a lot lately and I've been thinking about diving back in here, then somebody commented on an old post of mine and I felt like "here's your sign, Cindy!"</p> <p>So I'm showing off my literal new hair. I got extensions a few weeks ago because I was tired of the maintenance involved with the shorter haircut I had gotten when I found a stylist 15 minutes from home WHO DOES RAZOR CUTS :-D! Her name is Jade, and she is a serious hair artist with mad skills.</p> <p>I loved the cut Jade gave me but not the constant maintenance required to adhere to rules and regulations for people who work with food so I let her talk me into extensions.</p> <p>1: the short hair<br /> 2: the last short haircut she gave me, I felt like a rockstar for real that day<br /> 3: the extensions after the first shampoo<br /> 4: another shot with wavy texture<br /> 5: Jade's styling after she had to tone it yesterday because I had turned it green on accident</p> <p>Yes, I turned it green on accident. I took purple hair dye and added it to my favorite conditioner because I didn't want my naturally white hair to get all brassy, but apparently I didn't add enough.</p> <p>The conditioner with purple in it reacted with the light honey blonde of the extensions and made a mess because yellow and blue make green. </p> <p>It seems my new hair doesn't pick up the red part of the purple while sucking up the blue part. Jade corrected it and told me to put more way purple dye into the conditioner to keep from doing that again.</p> <p>So that's the adventure of the new hair.
