We're planning on a domestic infant adoption this time around, because we would like to experience a brand-new baby once (all other types of adoption are of older babies or children). Next time around we'll probably adopt a sibling group from foster care or possibly from Haiti, Korea, or Guatemala if Guatemala opens up again. We have ties to all 3 countries and also feel a strong draw to the children who are in foster care but are waiting to be adopted in our own province. </p> <p>Feel free to email me if you want to find out any more specific info about how adoption works in Canada or what we've learned. I actually love it, although I'll probably go lighter (and likely at least a full inch shorter) next time around! I may never go back to blonde. The lipstick is new, too. I was going for red but this may be more of a berry. I like it either way (it's Aveda's "Poppy" shade).</p> <p>I've realized I really am a short hair girl. I felt like I was going back to myself as the stylist chopped off my hair. What a great feeling. I'm looking forward to playing around with different ways to style it. </p> <p>I came home with this this great paste for my hair that has clay in it and is actually from Aveda's men's line (Pure-Formance Grooming Clay, <a href="http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY14928&#038;PRODUCT_ID=PROD11868" rel="nofollow">http://www.aveda.com/templates.....=PROD11868</a>). It's very lightweight and completely matte. It's worth checking out if you have short or fine hair.</p> <p>It's a good time in my life for a change... I've started my career very recently, and my husband and I just finished our homestudy for our adoption, which means we're basically waiting for a baby now and could become parents any time. New hair feels very appropriate. </p>
