They also zipped up just fine over my skinny jeans. I will need to get some insoles with arch support, though. They’re a charcoal gray - dark but lighter than black. They go well with all the grays in my closet, so I’m happy. I ordered a half size up, which I think was a good decision. I tried them on, and they barely zip around my calves, but there is a gap, so I think they’ll be fine. The wide calf size would give the dreaded flower pot effect. The shaft is tall in the front, but I think the boots will be fine with skinny jeans or dresses. I've never tried Marc Fisher boots, but these look so nice. The only place I could find the wide width I need was at QVC. Also, I need a 15" calf circumference to go over my jeans, so that narrows my choices down a bit. I went a half size up on these because of the almond-shaped toe, but I think that they will look classic and hopefully stand the test of time.
