It's going to drive me crazy having to wait 7-10 days for them. It's funny how when I was younger, my glasses were all about being invisible. I wanted glasses that showed up the least and didn't draw attention to my face. And now I want my glasses to be like "face jewelry". </p> <p>Una - yes, I have trouble too with my eyelashes rubbing on my lenses but as ambergreen mentioned, I have taken to using an eyelash curler which has helped tremendously. Those old-school contraptions that I avoided for decades because I thought they were all about vanity turn out to be useful for specs-wearing ladies. </p> <p>And there's a step 2 for me, another move up to utility from what I once saw as only vanity: I actually use mascara to brush and hold my lashes OUT to the side a bit so that they don't hit my lenses (aside from what it does for those like myself whose blonde lashes are visibility-impaired without it). </p> <p>Of course, clear mascara would do the same for anyone who doesn't need more color there. So I went spec shopping today. I had the best intentions to run some choices past my Fabber friends but lo and behold I fell in love HARD with not one but two pairs and promptly ordered them. When you know, you just know.</p> <p>The first pair are bright cherry red Coach with clear arms. The second pair are geeky in their oversized style with purple arms and the top of the eyes with clear at the bottom of the eyes.</p> <p>There is nothing subtle about either pair and I find it interesting that at 50 I seem to have the confidence to wear something so bold.</p> <p>I am also getting my new prescription put into my current black and white glasses. This will give me three great choices - such decadence!</p> <p>I should get them in about 10 days so you and I will just need to wait... </p>
