Like I said, I plan to wear it belted or tucked, so the length isn't an issue per se.</p> <p>It seems like the dress hasn't gone over well with any of you...to be honest, I don't care about the color (though brighter colors are more my style), since I meant it for the hottest summer when light colors are really what's called for. I think it's that I wish the dress was more of an a-line shape rather than a "tank" shape. However, I don't think I like where it's hitting on your hips. I'd prefer higher or lower than that. If you're just gonna belt or tuck all the time, then its not a problem, but I think if you wanted to wear it like this, its not the best it could be. I feel like the dress is too drab for you; I don't know anything about your style, but I would much rather see you in some bolder colours! I'm trying to think how to make it better, but in the heat, you don't want to add extra colorful layers or even a belt. Statement earrings and sandals? I went with a friend last week and picked out two frames. I had difficulty getting a good closeup picture of them that didn't have glare from the flash or other issues, so this is the best I could do...</p> <p>Also, since I was at the mall, I decided to do some browsing and hit the J. Crew sale. I picked up these two things. The first is the silk utility tee--unbelted and untucked, it's probably more voluminous than I'd prefer (though maybe with skinnies, heels and a jacket it would look fab) but I was thinking more about tucking and/or belting it. I really love the color and it's machine washable silk.</p> <p>The second is a dress. It's not the color/pattern that attracted me so much as the fact that it is a silk/cotton dress, lined with light cotton, that is of a light color--sounds perfect for very hot summer days. Ditsy florals usually aren't my thing, but it seems like the kind of dress that will be so very cool during the dog days of summer. </p>
