My old eyes are struggling to see any details other than the beautiful draping on 1. The plaid dress is fun - swirly suede - whouldathink?

Sorry I so seldom wear dresses I can't come up with many ideas. But I wanted to say the suede dress is most unusual and gorgeous on you. Once you fix the zipper that will be a killer dress on you.

Actually ... they refunded me more (dress + shipping)... and let me keep the dress. Yay!

I adore #1 - and I would like to see it with a blazer to balance out the drapiness. #2 is so flattering in cut - and suede is luxurious. PLaid is a bit different for you, I agree it needs a bit of punky/funky styling. SO, they refunded your dough and let you keep the dress? Yay indeed.

I like both dresses! I think the second one could be styled in a delightfully 70s way if you add some tall boots. Or a bit punky if you add a cropped leather/moto/denim jacket. Or more classically if you add a longer blazer. Initially I thought it wasn't as cute as what you normally go for, but really the cut comes across as rather cute so I kind of like the fabric juxtaposition.

Hmm; I dunno if I could layer under it ... I sort of have fat arms, so that's why I usually avoid sleeved dresses. Maybe my faux leather jackets might work!

Thanks, Thistle!

I tugged the zipper a bit, and it might not be too broken!

If the dress makes you feel like Kate Middleton (which I assume is a good thing), it is a keeper.

As for the second dress . . . if you need more warmth, could you layer under it? Also, what about a belt with it? Perhaps a jacket instead of a cardi?

I would see what the cost of having a seamstrss repair the zipper would be. That would basically be the cost of the dress!

Yeah, Suz, it's made of suede ... I didn't know this when I ordered it, and it didn't say this in the description either!

LOL. Makes me feel very Albertan :p

I find that the sleeves are very grippy and kind of slurp along my cardigans, but maybe I'll try a bigger one? Or maybe I should mod it somehow to make it less grippy? :p It will be a good skating dress. I won't be sliding too far when I fall on my bum bum.

Anything that makes you feel like Kate Middleton has got to be good! So yay to the first one.

I am confused about the second dress, the plaid one. Did you say it is suede? Wow.

It seems to me it's a great winter dress for you - does it work with any of your jackets and cardigans? I might wear with tall boots, too.

This was originally going to be a K&R, but this dress is so comfortable and flattering (and makes me feel like Kate Middleton minus belly bump) that I'm totally going to keep it. And a steal at under $50! I am in love with this brand too - Darling UK - and I've stalked forever until there was a sale :(

Plain dress - 2
Dress w/ Cardigan - 1, 3
Dress as a top! - 4, 5

Now; the problem comes with this other dress (6, 7). It's texture is a heavy suede and it's quite pretty in terms of its cut and colouring, but I don't think it's quite my style? Or at least it seems quite plain right now without anything exciting happening to it - It came with a busted zipper; so I was going to return it, but the online company decided to give me a refund when I sent them the pic of the broken zip (8, YAY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!) So; I hope to fix it and put it in rotation if I had any styling tips.

Any helpful ideas? :)

ETA: Sorry about my blurry pics today, it was cold outside and I think my hand is still shaking. :p
