Lmao Elle!

I noticed in Chicago the word for ATM is CashMachine which is one specific bank's lingo for "their" ATMs but it seems to have caught on - like Dyson Hoovers :)

Sorry for the thread jack

Spandex is a patented brand name for elastane I think but my memory isn't what it used to be. I studied textile & dye chemistry & am annoyed I can't remember things anymore. Just like in England they say Hoover for vacuum cleaner. Even to the point of saying how they just bought a Dyson Hoover lol. That is like saying I just bought a BMW Ford. Actually I wish my Ford was a BMW.

As the Wikipedia link suggests, I tend to see elastane in tags for items made for European brands (H&M, ASOS) and spandex here in North American brands.

(The data entry folks for Twice sometimes transcribe the non-English fiber content for items, and it cracks me up to think about how people are wondering what 'baumwolle' is, etc.)

Been seeing something called elastaine (hope that is spelled right) as a fabric content in jeans recently. This seems to be replacing the spandex, and am seeing it in new arrivals. Anyone purchased anything with this yet?
