The mixed media tee will be a perfect piece on its own (untucked or semi-tucked) and even layered over when the cool weather arrives. And the twin set has a lovely easy-breezy quality to it and are two pieces that can be worn together or worn separately with other items. Nicely done! That first top is gorgeous, dead on. I love the twin set too, but I know what you mean about the dressiness factor. I think linen is hard to fit into "dressy" because it lives to be casual. It likes to get and stay a bit rumpled. But don't despair because the set looks really wonderful on you too (you and those blues!) -- and perhaps the turquoise tank could be part of a dressier ensemble. And could you maybe wear the shirt over a dress and tie the ends together in front? MuseumGal on "New EF items" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/new-ef-items#post-1300060 Fri, 11 Jul 2014 00:59:09 +0000 MuseumGal 1300060@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I'm trying stay strong for No Buy July, so thought I'd post some of my recent purchases to remind myself that I just bought some awesome stuff, especially on my CA trip in June.  Whenever I visit the East Bay, I try to make a pilgramage to the Eileen Fisher outlet in San Leandro.  This year I bought three items. 1 - Cobalt mixed media T - the front is a lovely soft knit linen and the back and shoulders are silk.  I think qualifies as part of the sporty luxe trend?  I scored a deal; I paid $40, original price was $218!  Worn here with cropped boyfriends and Cons, coin pearl hoop earrings, and a silk scarf in my hair. 2 - Aqua linen twin set - a soft jersey knit linen tank and a woven linen big shirt.  I'm not 100% sure about this set - I bought it because my winter EF twin set (silk tank, wool cardi) was an often reached for item when I needed something dressy during cold weather, and I thought this might serve the same purpose for summer.  However I'm thinking it's actually too casual to fulfufill the dressy niche.  It's also a bit long, and looks best with long pants and heels for proportion.  Still, it's a lovely summery addition to my wardrobe, in a color I don't have a lot of.  Worn here with black skinnies and black wedge sandals and pair of black and silver chandelier earrings that you can't see. Comments welcome - I'd love suggestions on alternative ways to style these new items, if you have any!
