I definitely love the cut and pattern, but the main thing that convinced me that it's a keeper is that it's the only v-neck dress I own that I do not have to pair with a camisole underneath. It's so liberating to be able to wear just one layer and not worry about spilling out.</p> <p>Angie, I considered the denim jacket but wasn't sure if the dress was too formal to pair with it. However, looking at the pictures on your floral pin blog post, I see that you paired an even more formal dress with a denim jacket. I may have to give that a shot. It would be great to wear the dress more often than just for "dressy" events.</p> <p>Ele, a couple other people at work commented that they also had the same pins when they were young. I got such a kick out of wearing a former childhood toy to work!</p> <p>Kristen, thanks for your comments about the vest - that is awesome coming from a self-described "non-vest person." I will try to wear it more often - I'm rather addicted to cardigans lately. This is the only (budget-friendly) vest I've found that I really liked with my shape due to the buttons coming up to mid-bust, the wide straps, the curved seam &#38; adjustable back strap. (Many vests I try are low-cut and make me feel like I'm just visually putting a "look at me!" frame around the girls, or else the vest gapes a lot at the sides.)</p> <p>Sinead, I save WAY too much. I'm always haunted by the thought that I might need or miss something in the future, or (in terms of clothes) maybe my body will change just enough that an old piece will work again... I'm thinking of applying a rule that if I haven't worn something once in its appropriate season, I will give it away. The tags are still on it just in case, but I'm pretty positive it's a keeper.
