I tried again with the flat iron this evening and had pretty good luck this time. My hair is pretty short so I have to be very careful not to burn myself. I think I will get the hang of it. I like how sleek and shiney it makes the hair. I sure hope it isn't burning the hair. I stayed away from the flat iron for a long time for fear of burning my hair. My daughter and grand daughter are using one and their hair seems in fine health. I also have a spary to put on just before using the iron.<br /> I love the flat ironed look for you. I get tired of being curly/wavy all of the time...but it's easy. I talked about it with my stylist, and she confirmed what I figured out. I was using lower heat in an effort not to cook my hair. It works better when it's on the hottest setting, and I move it through quickly. I also use a product to help relax my curl.
