You look fit and healthy, and like a strong woman.</p> <p>It occurs to me that the "stick thin model" image we often aspire to is a CHILD's body. Those skinny girls (and I was one in my teens and early twenties) are JUNIORS and there's a reason for that department in the stores. They are children with all the emotional angst and turmoil that goes along with that age and shape. </p> <p>Your body seems to me (and mine too now) a woman's shape. A shape that is curvier and has more oomph. I believe it often comes from childbearing (my curves did! My hips actually moved and even at exactly my pre baby weight my hips were 3 inches bigger...LOL)</p> <p>So I have decided (at 50! LOL) to embrace those curves and dress and treat my body accordingly. It's been good to me, is strong and healthy and given me 3 children. What's not to like that it shows up on my own frame? I think the curves are a badge of honor now. </p> <p>It's kind of how I think of my wrinkles now too. They could bug me, but I choose to think of them as laugh lines (cause that's where they are) and embrace the fact that all the laughing I've done in my life is now starting to show up on my face. It must have been a good life so far if my wrinkles are from laughter! Of course according to my new life too. </p> <p>I have to say that when my body was model thin, outfits like the ones below didn't look good on my frame. It either gobbled me up or aged me terribly. I am so surprised that this fits the way it does. </p> <p>Pics #1-5: black bouclé skirt, green top with green jacket. They weren't sold together, but I think it looks good. What do you think?</p> <p>Pics# 6-10: black bouclé skirt with the same top in blanc cassé ("broken white", cream) and with this bouclé RED jacket (my new best friend) and different footwear. </p> <p>Pics #10-19: gray knit midi skirt.
