Wow. You look amazing. I love the green on green and think that type of same top + topper color is a great look with a different color skirt--much more interesting than same top + bottom + different blouse. And your look is different from typical cardi + matching shell. I like the natural-colored shoes with the jewel tones--for warmth and contrast.

I like the other outfits too!

You look simply stunning in these outfits - how wonderful to have these great clothes in your wardrobe. The mix and match possibilities are endless. I'd love to see you style the last outfits ( blue puffer) with some boots.

I don't think I can add much of value to the comments you've already gotten, except perhaps to say that you look much better than a model. Those women usually make me want to cry (especially the catwalk ones) because they look so sick and starved. You, on the other hand, look fantastic. I'm so glad you have found a healthy, happy weight.

I do like the ton sur ton of the two greens, subtle and classy. The red is indeed a great colour for you and I like the bookending between the shoes, the necklace and your hair that I see in 6-10. You might want to loosen the scarf in #11 (except under a coat) because it looks a bit like it is swallowing you, up so high and tight. I have no real favourites here; you look great in all of them.

As a lover of color I can't believe my favorite is the gray turtleneck with the pencil skirt. I just love the "negative" of that white statement necklace against the white. I also really like the bootie with the skirt too.

The other looks are wonderful as well. I just am shaking my head at the fact that I find a neutral outfit the most appealing. Very inspiring, thank you so much for the post.

So, I was thinking that the green blazer/green shirt looked so good on you until I saw the red jacket and then I said wow, true story. I would so wear that moto with the jeans from the other post(and, let's face it, withe everything else I could get away with)

I think you found your happy place in terms of dressing your body, all of these looks so stylish and so professional.

For honesty sake I have to say that I am not crazy about 16-18 it reminds me of those catalogs for mature women and although that is not bad why would you want to look like that when you can look so current as , for example, 14-15 ?

These are beautiful pieces, and highly versatile, too. I love the tone on tone green, the spread collar red jacket and the embrace of midi skirts.

As for the last look -- my favorites are picture #11 and #15.

I love your new things and your shape! You look fit and healthy, and like a strong woman.

It occurs to me that the "stick thin model" image we often aspire to is a CHILD's body. Those skinny girls (and I was one in my teens and early twenties) are JUNIORS and there's a reason for that department in the stores. They are children with all the emotional angst and turmoil that goes along with that age and shape.

Your body seems to me (and mine too now) a woman's shape. A shape that is curvier and has more oomph. I believe it often comes from childbearing (my curves did! My hips actually moved and even at exactly my pre baby weight my hips were 3 inches bigger...LOL)

So I have decided (at 50! LOL) to embrace those curves and dress and treat my body accordingly. It's been good to me, is strong and healthy and given me 3 children. What's not to like that it shows up on my own frame? I think the curves are a badge of honor now.

It's kind of how I think of my wrinkles now too. They could bug me, but I choose to think of them as laugh lines (cause that's where they are) and embrace the fact that all the laughing I've done in my life is now starting to show up on my face. It must have been a good life so far if my wrinkles are from laughter! (And plenty of it!)

You really scored on all the pieces, but I adore the red moto and the green jacket for the color and vibrancy they bring to your life! And the grey skirt and turtleneck shows off your figure perfectly! Yes, you are channeling Angie here!

Can I say that I think we may have been in the same stores over the past few days as I recognize some of these items - especially the green jacket and red moto. These brights really suit you and you have styled them so well! You will have many styling possibilties out of all of these combinations - can't wait to see future posts!

Oooh, you in those new skirts--- that's a knockout silhouette, KD!

That black & green combination is so inspired. Very distinctive, and the colour is so great with your lovely skin and hair, it makes you glow.

The red jacket is darling! Have you tried it with the grey skirt yet? Or the jeans from your last thread... So many possibilities, and I can quite see why it's already a favourite.

My favourite from the grey skirt series is 15/16 --- love the tonal 'dress' and the way that classic look is juxtaposed against the sportier blue jacket. Again, very very distinctive. Love it! And yet again, picking up the lighter blue lining in your bracelets makes the very most of your own lovely colouring...! Well done, that.

Thank you everybody for your feedback. Sveta, Rabitheart, point taken. Midi will not be worn with these booties. It was a look that fitted me last year, not now. I am still learning. Thank you for being honest! It really helps me.

The purple jacket in the last pics is supposed to be worn... inside! It's a "core shell jacket", what one wears under their actual coat here in the winter for extra warmth. But looking at the pics myself, I think something shorter would be better here.

I couldn't believe Thursday all the finds I had made on sale. Esp. the red jacket.

I like all of it, except the grey skirt paired with booties in #11 - #15. The skirt itself is great, but in my opinion it looks waaay better with those brown heels. The jacket in #16 - #18 is passable, but the look deserves a coat I think I like the green combo the best - it makes you glow!

You look wonderful Krish and most importantly happy! Here is more love for the red jacket from me. I also like green colors on you a lot.
As for the grey midi I feel that it is a bit too long for these booties. I would prefer to see it with the shooties from the other pictures - or maybe a bit shorter, just past the knee. Or with booties of low contrast with your legs... <ducking out of sight>

Thank you both! Yes, Dianthus, Suz and I do look alike. Suz, you are so kind, so so kind. "would not look good before look sensational now; they show your curves and your strength." thank you for those powerful words.

Yes, I think I am heading towards a more classic style, yet I try to make it as modern as possible because I am not a pure classic, this I know. For example these work well for me now thanks to my haircut. If I had long hair, I don't know if I would have chosen these pieces.

Wow - this is so much fun! I feel as if I've just gone on a highly successful shopping spree.

You look amazing. You are absolutely right - these styles that perhaps would not look good before look sensational now; they show your curves and your strength.

I love you in the green, and agree it works perfectly with the jacket. Such fun!

But the red!! Oooh la la! That one has my love, too -- that spread collar is so beautiful. It frames your face in a delightful way. Love the asymmetrical closure; it is like a dressy moto jacket. So it will also look great with jeans to dress it down. And with the grey midi, too.

I love all the midi looks, but especially #11 and #14/ 15. It will also look amazing with your yellow clutch.

The cream blouse is also beautiful on you with your glasses....these are all wonderful foundational choices for your work wardrobe!

Oh - and the grey skirt will look amazing with your yellow jacket from the other post, too!

ETA: I take it as a great compliment that Dianthus is comparing us!

Also, in terms of style direction..it looks as if you are heading in a slightly more streamlined, modern classic direction...would you agree?

I love them all but the red moto is outstanding. The colors look great on you. You remind me a bit of Suz in some of the pics.

On Thursday I went back shopping for much needed working clothes. I can't wear jeans on the job. There were sales (for black Friday). As I am having to re-buy my wardrobe to my new size, I am taking advantage of this to also change directions a little. Of course according to my new life too.

I have to say that when my body was model thin, outfits like the ones below didn't look good on my frame. It either gobbled me up or aged me terribly. I am so surprised that this fits the way it does.

Pics #1-5: black bouclé skirt, green top with green jacket. They weren't sold together, but I think it looks good. What do you think?

Pics# 6-10: black bouclé skirt with the same top in blanc cassé ("broken white", cream) and with this bouclé RED jacket (my new best friend) and different footwear.

Pics #10-19: gray knit midi skirt. I tried various ways to style it. What is your favourite?

Thanks for looking!
