Krish! You look so wonderful in your new hourglass body. We should all be so lucky to put on weight nicely and in all the right places (wink!)

Your new jeans look so fantastic on you. And you say they're also comfortable? Well it doesn't get any better than that. I love the outfits you've put together here, so sophisticated. I love the neutral and striped tops with the red jeans. Perfection. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well and feeling energetic.

Hi Krishnidoux --

Like a few others on this thread, I'd missed your post this summer. So glad you have reached a better place -- the nutrients you're putting into your body show with glowing skin, shiny hair, and eyes that look alert and inquisitive (and I assume your mind is just as alert now!).

With that said, what a lucky thing you are to waltz into one shop and find *3* pairs of jeans/cords that look like that on you!

I know YLF has members who think the back view in jeans matters as much/more than the front; I know I'm giving you a thumbs up on both angles and am sure I'm not alone....

As I'm partial to cords, I especially love the looks with them. I think the bold red is a great choice to celebrate your new body confidence. Go forth and wow, woman!

[I also like the new choices and pairings from your other thread.]

BTW, I have a similar pair of ARA/Goretex boots that I'm hoping justify their price, so naturally I think you have stunning taste in boots. ;)

My only thought is that I'd love to see the turtleneck here paired with a necklace more along the lines of the one in #6 (or hey, that one) or a long pendant. My eye just wants to see something bolder there, I guess.

krish, you look amazing!!!
Seriously, your mind and your body seem to have come to terms and now you shine trough.
Those jeans and red pants fit you perfectly (sorry DH) and I think you will have a great time with them.
Outfit 9/10 is amazing and that yellow clutch so cute.
11 to 13 is so on trend :)
All the other outfits are winners to me I am just pointing this ones out because I love a blazer look marvelously done like those.

Thank every body!

Pic #10: funny how a "simple" jacket and a scarf will make an outfit. But it's not *any* jacket, not *any* scarf. I chose those two items with care and discrimination. Lots of discriminations along the way:

The jacket: (actually found at Winners for a small price, just to prove that *the* one is not necessarily the most expensive one): it's in a soft, giving fabric; it's fitted; the sleeves are short (actually, 3/4); it's in a neutral charcoal; it has texture, as it has a tone on tone print.
The scarf: perfect weight, perfect print, length, fringe etc. Found it in a store where my Mom shops, of all places. There were many opportunities to buy a leopard print scarf before but they were never the right weight, the right shade. So I was glad I had waited.

Rabitheart, thank you for your honesty. I will post with different tops. But these particular jeans do not look good tucked into boots. They bunch and puff at the knee. That's why I got the second skinny pair.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Oh my goodness gorgeousness! Not once, but thrice over!! As Shannon said, you look HOT!! And I can't even find a favourite out of the three, because they all look equally awesome! I love the butt flattery of the first and last pairs (what a cut!), if you don't mind my saying so, and grown-up skinnies---well, I had no idea skinnies could look like that

I need a slice of your jeans-shopping luck, Krishnidoux :o)

And while I did a double take at the longer sweater with the skinnies (SO chic!), that last outfit with the colour-blocked top made me hold my breath --- stunning!

First of all, you look wonderful and I envy you a pair of jeans with such a perfect fit! BUT, I don't think the combo in #1 - #5 is doing you justice. May I suggest trying it with high boots (jeans tucked in) or a different top, preferably of a lighter colour? This way the whole outfit is giving out a retro vibe which is not entirely great, at least to my eyes. Plus the overall colour impression is kinda sad - and who needs that on the verge of winter, right? However, I LOVE how you styled the jeans and the corduroys in the rest of the photos! Especially #9 and #10, I can't stop looking at that clutch. It's a great combo with the animal print on the scarf!

You look so great and sassy fab! I'm glad you kept those red jeans. I think many men have a hard time with bright jeans/trousers because it is something they would never sport -- not that we are asking them to, LOL!

I'm relieved and glad you are buying new clothing rather than thinking that you need to go back to your old, tired body. Having energy feels great, doesn't it?

I just went back and read your courageous thread from last Summer.
An amazing transformation has taken place, for sure!
I am confident that you are a stronger person because of this history, and that you will never go back to that place. You will be ever vigilant for those unhealthy thoughts that starved your body and distorted your past perceptions.
How amazing it is that if we listen to our own body it will tell us when it is truly hungry, what it needs and how much?
I love the way you accessorised these outfits.

Thank you for your support! And compliments. It's very healing to me, you know. But if I did look bad, I know you would tell me, right?

(I know it looks completely silly, not to be able to determine myself how I look. It's because I still have a hard time to recognize and accept myself. Gosh, didn't think I'd still deal with this in my 40s. But it's coming along).

The grey open knit top and the colour block top are both from... Costco! MaryK, I did try it first un-tucked, as it is meant to be, but on me the proportions are wrong. I have a long torso and broad shoulders in comparison to shorter stockier legs. If I untuck this top, with these pants, the waist line lowers and the shoulders are broaden. (Because of the top's V shape cut). Which is exactly the opposite of what I need to create for balance.

Suz, my boots are "Ara Gore-Tex" http://www.outnumbered3-1.com/.....eview.html I love them. I also have flat ones I adore, but the heels here are not too high and I hope will be manageable once serious snow happens.

Fantastic!

Fewer things feel better than going into a store, trying on jeans, and finding that they actually *fit*. It's the holy grail of shopping. And you've discovered it.

You look wonderful! I agree that the necklace works wonders with your turtleneck to break up the torso; this is a trick I must adopt for myself because I have the same issue. A scarf will do the same.

The skinnies look terrific tucked into the boots, and I really like the boots themselves. What kind are those? I am hunting for heeled boots for winter. It is not an absolute *need* for this year because I do have flat black boots, but if I do find them I will purchase.

I am sorry the red ones don't meet with husband's love, but I adore them! There is something so fun about a brightly coloured bottom. They look wonderful with your little grey jacket (also a brilliant purchase this year.) You have done some good shopping. The open weave sweater is also very pretty; you have Angie's "texture" element!

ETA: I LOVE love LOVE #10. That clutch is so fab!

Last summer I told you guys about my body weight woes.
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ing-lately
Now, I have been able to maintain my weight gain. I got to a point where I think I should naturally be. My body is still adjusting. All I can say is that I have SO MUCH energy, it's unbelievable.

OK, I have inner thigh fat. Will always. What can I do. BUT I have so much energy!

Anyway, no need to tell you I've had a frustrating time in the past 2 months trying to dress. Nothing fit, it was all more than body con, it was bursting-at-the-seams body con. So discouraging. I tried to focus on work project instead, because dressing up, my dear pastime, had become too trying. And trying is the term. I did try and try, with never any success. Well yes, sure, because I was trying my old clothes, which had fitted a much tinier body. It's not all to gain 10-15 pounds on the scale and accept it mentally. That thing also takes up room physically!

I told my DH about my problem and he told me to buy a new pair of jeans. I reluctantly went to a good store. You know, the kind usually found on the third floor of shopping malls. Where, I thought, jeans would be better cut, and better suited for my 40+ body.

When I tried on a pair of jeans there to my size, oh my, oh my! First I was baffled that a pair of jeans I would have previously considered "Mom jeans" could feel and look so good... and even sexy! And Oh, my, I was finally comfortable, it wasn't digging into my skin like my previous pairs! I was so excited I bought three pairs right there and then. Here they are:

Pics #1- 5: classic straight leg cut . Here worn with a gray turtleneck. I usually avoid that look because it emphasizes my long torso, but I recently discovered that breaking it up with jewellery close to the neck (mocking a lower collar) helps in that regard, which I'm happy about because man, it's cold over here.

Pics #6-10: "skinnies" version grown-up. Here tucked into my heeled Gore-tex winter boots, which is how I will wear them for the next 6 months at least.

Pics #11-15: red corduroy! With that same cut as the first pair. DH hates them (of course) but I adore them. Maybe I'm wrong. But I found I've been wearing them over and over lately.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome!
