Jenava, I love your pants but I'm dithering on the length- on one hand, I'm not completely adverse to a very slim pant with no scrunch. On the other, I generally like pants to go *as long as the width will allow* and it looks to me like yours could be 1-2 inches longer, because they sort of "cut off" at your ankle, and are wider than it. Basically, if you could taper them even more- take in that hanging inch or so, I'd be all about the length.

I bet they look awesome with boots, though. Jealous!

LOL...I know Maya! I was sort of being a pill with that...At least I won't wear them with white socks a la Funny Face!

I will take another photo from the front, closer up on the pants and I'll wear black stockings, which is more realistic to how I'l wear these if I wear them with closed-toe flats. They look awesome with riding boots, so I'm not worried about that (and they tuck in good...but they're not ponte - they're slightly slicker than ponte so that's probably why they tuck well).

While I love Audrey's style (who doesn't?), I don't think it can be assumed that what looked great on her is going to work on most people. The number of women walking this earth who have a figure like hers can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand. She has the long willowy frame I was talking about, so it works on her, but most people just don't look like that.

I don't see anything wrong with the length either, I just think you need to consider how to make it work for you.

I always thought this length was very mid-century...like Audrey Hepburn:

http://i426.photobucket.com/al....._ehow2.jpg

The length doesn't bother me, to be honest.

I actually do not share Angie's aversion to this length in extremely tapered pants (like yours) and think they look quite cute, and not necessarily only with 4" heels. I do agree that unless you have long, willowy, model-like legs, SOME kind of heel is the way to go, though. They don't horrify me with flats or anything, I just think some sort of heel looks better, even if it's only 2".

Angie, please don't hit me!

I'll take another photo when I get a chance...the lighting won't be good now because it's dark. They are "ankle length" so I think they are supposed to be "too short" (-:

O.K. obviously I don't get the PPL thing with these type of pants because I think they look great! I know that Angie always prefers a little scrunch with skinny jeans but does this apply to skinny pants too??? Maybe I'll start a separate thread because I'm confused...

If it were me I wouldn't wear these with flats because they look too short. Boots would work and I'm not sure about totally flat sandals.
I hope they start making ponte knit pants longer soon.

I know they look fine, but for some reason I feel self-conscious in these. I think its the stretchy fabrication that has me feeling a little insecure. These are a little tough to see in this pic; they are a very stretchy knit fabric with seams at the sides and down the back of each leg. They also have zippers at the ankles (which are completely unnecessary since they are so stretchy)

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lODr.....797827.jpg

I plan to wear these with ballet flats and flat boots, and I plan to wear them as pants, not necessarily as leggings. Technically they are pants, so I think this is OK? Let me know what you think...
